Their price is competitive to other hotels nearby, but their services and the quality of the stay there are generally better than the places we have stayed in the past, for example Quality Inn. Especially their breakfast, it’s hot, it’s plenty of food and has various choices to choose from.

Nice area

We stayed here because of the location and price. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing was the elevator messed up while we was here no biggie for us but someone who is in need it might have been.

It felt below the standards of a regular Hyatt hotel. Noisy and uncomfortable beds. Old looking rooms.

For lack of better words, I would say the Hyatt North Charleston on Prospect drive as dis-satisfyingly icky. Not because the hotel was perched in the dodgy parts of the city, or because the front desk was without personnel for 5 to 10 minutes as guests waited, nor because they charged our card before we arrived not giving us the opportunity to choose how we paid, but because the following: the corners were cruddy; the elevator door moved at a snail's pace; breakfast on a Sunday for many early rising guests who were part of the annual and well known Volleyball tournament didn't start until 7am; and the hotel appeared more like a poorly renovated motel than the Hyatt brand we have come to know and love. For next year, I recommend athletes and families alike to pass over this Hyatt.
