Not impressed.
I travel a lot, stay in a lot of hotels, and this place was not impressive. Good things: close to Caverns, beds were reasonably comfortable, AC and fridge and microwave all worked well. Bad things: hair left on walls of bathroom and shower, shower curtain torn, no plug in sink, big rip in one chair, strip of duct tape between tiles and carpet did little to protect bare feet from the tacks / staples, security chain on door dangling loosely from one flimsy screw, breakfast a total joke (packaged muffins and cold cereal), and when our key cards stopped working on second day, person at front desk had no idea how to solve the problem. I have no idea how this hotel has such a high rating. Note: If you stay in White's City, come prepared. Grocery store across the street is poorly stocked (though gift shop is extensive) and cafe closes at 3:00pm.

The only issue was that we arrived at noon and asked to check in early knowing that the place was less than half occupied (there were 2 cars in the parking lot and I’m sure 1 belonged to the front desk girl. The lady at the desk said to come back at 2pm. Also the tv didn’t work but not a big deal.

Pros: * The staff was friendly and helpful. * About a 15 minute drive from Carlsbad Caverns visitor center. * Quiet and dark rooms. Con: Breakfast is minimal. Cold cereal, fruit, juice coffee.

We stayed one night. We were very Thankful to have ajoining rooms, and that the rooms were spacious and Clean. We liked that the location was only a few minutes away from Carlsbad Caverns. The gift shop across the road was nice and the prices were reasonable. We ate lunch at the Cafe next to the hotel and the Food was Delicious. We So enjoyed our time in White City. We highly recommend this hotel.

Not a terrible place but understand you’re going to an isolated area for the convenience of close proximity to the caverns. It’s cheap and close. You can stay 20 minutes away, have all the conveniences of a town and pay more. All in all, it served its purpose, the staff was great and when we go back, I’ll stay again.

The rooms were spacious and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was only cereal, muffins and fruit. It would have been nice to have more options considering there aren’t many places to eat in town. Location was perfect to get to the caverns. Water park looked like it would have been fun but was already closed for the winter.

Staff were extremely friendly. Room was very spacious. A great location as a home base for visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Swimming pool and slide weren’t open when we were there (October) but would make this a great place for a family.

We stayed at five different hotels during a road trip. This was our favorite hotel of the trip. It was a great value for the price. A family-owned property that was very convenient to the Carlsbad Caverns.

Enjoyed staying at White’s City Cavern Inn as it is so close to Carlsbad Caverns where we were going the following day. Really enjoyed the awesome pool / water area with a little ship for kids to play on and the water slide (like at a water park). A very fun and nice attraction to this hotel. Staff was nice. The breakfast was simple and limited but adequate for us. Limited seating area however. Even though it appears to be an older hotel, our room was nice, clean, with nothing to complain about.
