Cabin is BEAUTIFUL! Don’t rely on GPS or the emergency after hours line to help you. Cell communication is practically impossible and GPS is hugely inaccurate. We got lost en route, called And was deferred to emergency maintenance line. They didn’t answer and voicemail was full. We drove the mountain after dark until we managed to finally locate the cabin.

Nice getaway
Very easy to rent. Everything was excellent. The house was beautiful. Nice views. Only downside was the internet. Wasn’t happy when we were there and being in such a secluded area, there wasn’t a decent cell signal. Other than that, it was a great anniversary getaway!

Nice but did not meet expectations
My husband and I have been coming to Bryson City area for over 10 years and have stayed at a variety of cabins. This cabin was clean, had great views, and had an kitchen that was well outfitted! My major disappointment was with expectations in the listing. The listing says it has WiFi with no qualification about lesser speeds, etc. There have been many times that we have opted for a place without WiFi/tv to have an “unplugged” vacation but this wasn’t our plan on this trip. We wanted a place where we had WiFi and could stream a movie or download a book on a rainy day. Unfortunately, the WiFi does not support that AND there is a note in the cabin that the WiFi is only for checking email. This was definitely not in the listing. If we had known this is advance we would have prepared differently for our trip — brought lots more books! Also, it would be good to know in advance that you will not have cell signal either. As stated previously, we have rented many places in the area and found similar places that have great WiFi. Finally, the paperwork and checkin process from the rental agency is a bit much. I felt like I had to spend the first 30 min of my vacation reading through the 6 pages of rules, signing all the paperwork, and then had to call to checkin and checkout. In summary, the cabin itself is nice, clean, and has a good view but I have found better options at a similar price.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable! The cabin was a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures but it was plenty of space for the 2 of us.

Perfect vacation
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and had such a wonderful time. This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. We woke up to snow one morning, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The hot tub was a huge hit and the kitchen had everything you can imagine for cooking and baking. We were a little nervous being from Florida in a 2 wheel drive Chevy Tahoe when there was a winter storm coming thru, but we had no problems getting to and from the cabin (we just waited until temperatures hit above freezing). We saw some deer and turkey while driving up one day, and the birds were relaxing to listen to and watch while sitting on the lower balcony with a cup of coffee. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time!

Quite mountain escape
We really enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfy. View was great. We had a great time walking around Bryson City and Cherokee. The only thing Was getting up to the house. You must follow directions given from the rental place. We tried using GPS and made a huge out the way circle up the mountain on the scariest road ever. Finally on the way down we actually found the cabin out of luck. Lol. Definitely follow directions from rental!!!

Beautiful Hideaway
Baines Mountain Hideaway is everything as advertised. Secluded in the mountains and surrounded by forests, the home was peaceful and relaxing and just beautiful. The drive up the mountain was completely paved except for the final stretch that is gravel. The house was beautifully decorated and has everything you need for your stay is provided. The hot tub off the bedroom was very relaxing and we used it every night. We plan to return to Baines Mountain Hideaway.

Finally! Family Get Together
First time seeing family since pandemic. What a wonderful cabin. Spotless, well-equipped and that view!! Probably no better place to see the wonderful mountain vista. Very private, as well. We likely will go back.
