Wonderful quirky hotel 5 mins walk from centre!

Pros: The quaint quirkiness of it and the fact it's a traditional old building, also it's only 5 mins from the centre but in a really quiet area.
Cons: Perhaps lengthen the host attachment on the shower as it's a bit short for tall people like me!
Location: It's 5-10 mins walk from Brugge centre and there is loads to do nearby. Any cat lovers need to visit the cat cafe Puss n Books only 5 mins walk.
I booked this hotel as a solo traveller to come and celebrate my friends birthday over the August weekend and it was perfect! I booked a room overlooking the canal so I was given Room 7, this is smaller than the other rooms but as I was staying on my own this wasn't a problem and I still had a huge double bed and big old windows directly overlooking the canal! Check in was simple, I arrived at 2.30 and had to wait 20 mins to be given the key. Don't forget you need to pay city tax which is not much. The reception and waiting area is really charming and olde worlde. My room was on the ground floor just through from reception - the rooms might not be to everyones liking - they are pretty dark and foreboding and not like a modern hotel... but this isn't a modern hotel and that's why I booked it... I love history and these rooms felt steeped in history. Room 7 had a very high ceiling with wooden beams and the walls were wonky, beautiful and old. Now there was a very very strange massive old painting of some form of homeless person in a shroud behind the bed and this may freak some people out but I actually grew to love it and translated the information on the picture. I even brought the receptionist in to see it - but again, it just added to the quaint feel of the place. The bathroom was great with a bath and a shower hose attachment but not a shower. Loved everything about it!

Lovely old building

Very close to the centre. It would gave been helpful to have able to eat in the hotel at night when weather not so good.Loved the listed building but a bit dark.

Lovely hotel, close to centre.

Pros: Full of character
Cons: Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room
Location: 5 minute walk from the centre
Lovely hotel, 5 minutes walk from the Market place hub.

Sehr gute lage.. das hotel hatt viel charm und das personal ist sehr freundlich. Kleiner minuspunkt für badewanne ohne duschvorhang.

Pros: Sa situation dans le centre ville, le long du canal
Cons: L'entreprise au pied de l'Hotel qui fait beaucoup de bruit dès 8h00 du matin...
Location: Très bien situé pour visiter cette ville magnifique.

Insgesamt alles gut gewesen aber hellhörige Zimmer, man bekommt wirklich alles mit und das Frühstück war okay, es gab kein Gemüse.

Es tut uns leid um Ihren Aufenthalt zu hören war enttäuschend, wir auch enttäuscht, da wir ziemlich anstrengen, um Freude, unsere Gäste während ihres Aufenthalts zu versuchen. Wir bieten jeden Tag eine frische Obst Salat zum Frühstück. Leider bieten wir keine Gemüse an, weil das ein lokales Frühstück ist (und wir essen keine Gemüse zum Frühstück). mit freundliche Gruß
