Shut down by police
When we arrived to check in, the property had been shut down by the police. Some of the staff had been running a drug and counterfeiting operation from the hotel.
We had a wonderful experience staying at the Mountain Music Inn. The staff was wonderful and you can tell they really care about those who are staying with them. They would bend over backwards for you. They are doing wonderful things to the building and grounds to make it look nice and you can really tell that. We will be back!!!
While there drug enforcement and the police dept raided the hotel arresting management on drug and money laundering. Had no way to check out of the hotel. The day we arrived, all maids walked out so we didn’t get fresh towels or toilet paper the whole stay.

I used travelocity to reserve a room for me and my daughter. The reservation was confirmed through my email. After making a 3 hour drive to get there and check in the gorl at the counter was on a personal call so we waited. Then she gets off and said she needed to make another call before helping us. Then the manager finally walked in from outside just to tell me there is no room available and that she had been booked for weeks. Then gave me yhe whole blame game and how its not the property's fault in being booked but still confirms reservations. Not only will i not recommend this property, i will also use another booking site next time i travel
We booked this property due to it being pet friendly and it having great rates. This property had great reviews when I booked it. We tried to check in early as we had a dog and the lady at the desk informed me our room wasn’t ready yet. No big deal at all to us because we were there several hours before check in time. She then informed me that the “new management” up and left the morning before at 3AM leaving the maintenance man to “take over.” We waited until normal check in time to come back. When I asked about breakfast they told me they don’t have breakfast because the health department shut all continental breakfasts down in all hotels a week ago. This wasn’t true because my parents hotel did have continental breakfast.
The rooms were clean, but our stay took a turn for the worst when we were suddenly awoken at 530 AM to doors being beat down and yelling a few doors down from ours. After trying to figure out what was going on, we stuck our head out the door to the SWAT team with two people arrested in the hallway. When we were finally able to leave an hour later SWAT and the local police department had about 10 people arrested and/or detained outside the hotel lobby. I’m not exactly sure what was going on but, I’m under the impression it had something to do with some of the hotel staff. Needless to say, we will not frequent this location again and requested a full refund, which was granted.
By far my worst hotel experience to date.
Our check in was a 3pm we showed up at 6pm. After being given the key I went to my room.. immediately had to avoid a waterfall pouring from the ceiling. The door to my room was open, no bedding, dirt everywhere, the jacuzzi tub in the room had a think layer of black dirt in it.
Went back to the front desk and was told all of the housekeeping staff was gone for the day and they didn’t have anymore rooms.
Had to book another hotel last minute. Still waiting to see if the charges drop.
Not to mention the shady characters in the parking lot.
Definitely DO NOT book a room here.

Overall everything was great....... front desk people was great and very friendly and welcoming would Definitely stay again our next visit.
We could not have been happier..the management was amazing and always there for anything we needed. They were always working and trying to make sure everything was perfect
Room could have been cleaner and we didn't get the king size bed we reserved but instead we got a queen. Staff was extremely pleasant and pool was great.
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.
Great place to stay! Friendly service, clean rooms, and good breakfeast.

A NOT so happy birthday weekend stay
The staff were very friendly & as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.. the room wasn’t completed from the recent remodel, the former management had walked out a week prior and these people had been given the current management position. The TV wasn’t working but when I called the desk they came and replaced it with a brand new one. The WIFI wasn’t working, there was no coffee pot in the room, no hair dryer, no iron, there wasn’t even any hot water so we took cold showers. The only positive was the AC was cold & they had new white cotton bedding & the beds slept nicely. All in all the negatives outweighed the positives of a trip that was supposed to be a fun weekend get away for myself & my daughter. No I wouldn’t stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
