The location felt private and peaceful. The street in front of the house didn't get much use, so there was hardly any noise or pedestrians, and with the nearby hillside, we were offered a pleasant view of an unbroken stretch of trees.
The house itself was nicely decorated and cleaned and, overall, felt welcoming. It was tight in some places, like the dining table, the picnic table on the balcony, and the stairway, but it could be ignored since most of our trip was centered on, of course, being outdoors, and with the house being relatively close to the lake and its trail, this place felt convenient and worth it for its relatively affordable price, enough to dismiss the minor flaws, such as the lack of AC (the days we were there were over 105F).
As for the manager, she was considerate when she came by to drop off two electric fans to help alleviate the heat. In total, we were happy with our stay.
