Sometimes, the best kind of getaway is the one that’s unassuming. Easygoing. Comfortable. Mountain Meltdown is that place—where nature sets the pace and the only thing on your to-do list is to breathe a little deeper. Tucked in a quiet spot with its own pond, campfire ring, and all the space you need, this private vacation home is perfect for families, friend groups, or couples who travel with their dogs and their sense of humor.
And no, the name’s not a warning—it’s a promise that the only kind of meltdown here will involve toasted marshmallows.
Your crew, your space
Sleeps 6, and everyone gets a real bed. So no air mattresses. No rock-paper-scissors for the good room. Just three comfy queen bedrooms—one upstairs, two on the main level—with plenty of elbow room to do your own thing.
Two full bathrooms (one on each level) mean no waiting in line for a shower. One’s upstairs with a walk-in shower, the other on the main with a full tub—ideal for bubble baths, muddy kids, or sore hiking legs.
Chill inside, breathe outside
Let’s be real—you’re here for the outdoors. And you’ve got options.
✅ Shared front porch + shared back deck for sipping, chatting, or watching the sun drop behind the trees
✅ Campfire ring—BYO s’mores and ghost stories
✅ Propane grill for easy outdoor dinners
✅ Yard + private pond—great for curious kids, wandering dogs, or quiet moments with a coffee in hand
And even though there’s a shared yard and the host lives in the attached apartment, everything about this home feels like yours. You’ve got your own space, private entrance, and full privacy indoors.
All the comforts—without overthinking it
✅ Full-service kitchen with everything you need to whip up dinner (or reheat last night’s takeout without shame)
✅ High-speed internet if you need to check in, log on, or stream something from bed
✅ Washer and dryer—because nature happens
✅ Private driveway and free parking (no wrestling for spots)
✅ Pet friendly—bring up to 2 dogs (just $40 per pup, per stay)
It’s not fancy. It’s just right. The kind of spot where you’ll fall asleep to the sound of frogs, not traffic.
One more thing before you pack
Mountain Meltdown is for people who crave quiet, who don’t mind sharing a few porch laughs with a nearby neighbor (aka your host), and who love the idea of a weekend that’s part cabin stay, part backyard hangout, part mountain escape.
You’ll leave rested. Maybe sun-kissed. Maybe with a new marshmallow-roasting technique. And if your dog’s lucky? A few burrs in their fur and a big goofy grin.
Sound good? Yeah. We thought so.
