Fabulous Stay

We had an absolute blast! The house was perfect for our large family of adults, teens and kids. There was ample space for 10 people. The variety of activities available on the property kept everyone entertained. Ashley was incredibly accommodating and responded quickly to questions we had. We celebrated Thanksgiving while here, and the large kitchen had everything we needed. Two ovens and two dishwashers were added bonuses. The lake views from the house were amazing, and lake access was easy. We highly recommend this property!

Best end of summer lake vacay!

Our groups of six adults and four teens loved our long weekend at the lake. House is perfect for gathering families - plenty of space, huge kitchen, gorgeous deck, great TV/Game room. Lake, dock and yard were excellent for long days in our bathing suits in and out of the water.

Exquisite Views of Lake Whatcom

The moment we walked into the home the views from the kitchen and dining space were captivating! Such a perfect home for all ages. The deck was huge and comfy with outdoor furniture, a wonderful hot tub, and table and chairs. The weather was not as warm as we hoped during graduation weekend but the polar plunge into Lake Whatcom was still possible with the hot tub. The weather and winds prohibited our using the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards but all the water toys are a generous addition to family fun. There are plenty of games to entertain the family as well as a separate Theater room. We absolutely loved the home, and the spaciousness of the main bedroom and bathroom with an incredible soaking tub. The other 3 bedrooms had their own bathrooms and the theater room was great for older kids to sleep (and play foosball and air hockey.) We would love to come back to enjoy more outdoor water activities. We all felt relaxed and peaceful while enjoying the exquisite views from most of the rooms. Such a memorable Trifecta Weekend of activities celebrating a college graduation, a 44th wedding anniversary and Father’s Day! Perfect home for all families. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Family Thanksgiving Gathering

Our family all gathered at this home for the week of Thanksgiving. The property was as described in the listing. We were able to prepare our usual favorites in the kitchen and we did not have to purchase a lot of extras. The kitchen was well-appointed. The weather was uncharacteristically sunny and beautiful so the location on the lake was an added bonus. There were additional touches that we have not found in other homes that we have rented: there was hand soap in every bathroom, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper, as well as laundry and dishwasher soap. We will definitely consider staying here again next year!

Absolute perfection across the board!

We rented this house to celebrate my birthday with friends/their kiddos. Ashley was incredibly responsive and accommodating, the perfect VRBO hostess. The house is even better than advertised - very stocked and we honestly just wanted to move in. We will absolutely be back, as I said in the title this house is perfection across the board. Wonderful lakeside property

We were a group of 4 couples (+ babies) and really appreciated the larger rooms that easily accommodated pack n plays and having our own bathrooms. The house is as it looks in the photos, fantastic! We were very lucky with the weather in mid October so were able to make the most of the lakeside location and all the water toys available. The house literally has everything you could want for a weekend at the lake. We basically didn’t leave the property which was ideal with the babies all on different nap schedules. Ashley was very responsive and super helpful accommodating our request for a late check out to help time our drive back to Canada with naps. Would absolutely recommend the property and we’d love to come back. Thanks Ashley!

Beautiful lake house

This property was one that we got for friends and family to stay in for our wedding. It was absolutely stunning, and only about 20 minutes from downtown Bellingham. The house inside and out is beautiful. It was clean, bright and had great areas to hang out in. They have many many towels for guests, but they are in the towel closet if you are looking for them! And there is only one key, so if you have a big party, make sure to connect with who has the key at all times. It was peaceful and quiet as well, and we made sure to be quiet to respect our quiet neighbors as well. The host was very accommodating and we will definitely be staying here again. Just a lovely experience.

Beautiful home and property in a great location.

My 3 adult children with their spouses, and my husband all enjoyed this property very much. The lakeside location with easy access to the lovely town of Bellingham was excellent. The lake was clean and clear. The house was incredibly clean (we were asked to remove our shoes in the house and our feet stayed absolutely clean!) spacious, well appointed and in excellent repair. It was, for the most part updated and well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were in good working order and clean. There were fun water toys, paddle boards, row boat, life jackets, yard games, plenty of seating indoor and out. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Every time we thought, ‘I wonder if they have…’, they did! If I had any thoughts for the owner/management it would be that the smaller bedrooms could use a refresh as could the mattresses-but this is only a minor critique. We were all quite comfortable.

Great start to summer in Bellingham!

This was our second stay at this property. We booked it for summer when we stayed there over Christmas. The property was great for families or friends with individual bathrooms for each room and a spectacular spot on the lake. Ashley was super communicative and responsive to any questions. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway

The property was beautiful and fully stocked with basic necessities. There were a variety of activities for a family both on the lake and in the home from paddle boards to a movie theater/game room. The host was very responsive. This is a high-end home and the maintenance requirements for your stay are nothing more than picking up after yourself as you would as a guest in any other home. The hot tub was out of commission and Ashley recognized that as part of the rental pricing. As a hot tub owner, this was completely understandable. We had a wonderful stay for our family visiting from out of town for our son's graduation. Highly recommend!

Nice stay overshadowed by mismanagement

She stay was nice, the property for the most part was well maintained and clean. Unfortunately there were a number of issues that I would have overlook on their own, but combined to overshadow the stay. Two days before our arrival our host informed us that the hot tub was broken and that the service company might be at the property during our stay. We were given the option to cancel the stay, but given that we had been planning this vacation for the past several months with family that was flying in from out of state, cancellation was not really an option. The hot tub service company was there for 4 - 6 hours for 2 out of the 3 days of our stay. They required access to the game room where the electrical panel was and spent a significant amount of time sitting in their service van which was parked in front of the main door. Most of the exterior of the house had extensive cobwebs and spiders, the interior was mostly free of insects, though there were a couple of large ants in the kitchen. We used the grill once, but it had quite a bit of grime accumulate and we had to thoroughly clean it before using. There were a number of additional requirements listed in a folder placed inside the house, these included taking out the trash, refilling any empty propane cylinders, not brining any shoes inside the house (which was annoying due to all the spiders outside), resetting any items we may have moved, cleaned up and putting away all the dishes and taking up out the laundry to the laundry and starting a load . We did this all despise the charge for cleaning already included in the rental price. One day after we left we were informed that they had discovered a small pea-sized impact in the kitchen granite countertops and charges us several hundred dollars for repairs. This despite the fact that we prepared no food in the kitchen and did nothing there that could have caused such damage. I repeatedly tried to explain this to the host, but they completely ignored all my messages. There were plenty of small issues of wear an tear around the house, such as scratches in upholstery, splotches on wooden tables, crayon marks on the deck. None of these would bother me, except that they can be attributed to as damage done by a guest This was a vacation our family was looking forward to and could have been great, but the overall impression I got was that the host was less concerned with the experience of the guests and more on ensuring they are turning a profit.

Beautiful location

We stayed here for the kids' spring break. We have three teenagers and they brought a friend each. The house was plenty large enough for the 8 of us. The bonus room was where the kids spent most of their evening time. The water toys were all in very good shape and let us get on to the water to get the full experience. Would recommend.

Beautiful Lakefront Stay

We really enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful home on Lake Whatcom with friends from out of town! There was plenty of room for each family to spread out and for the babies to sleep without waking each other. We loved the views from the property, the hot tub, and the game/theater room. The location is great with easy access to town. The host was responsive and helpful! The only critique is the home still needs to be better stocked. It would be great to have more pillows in the rooms(only two very thin per room), throw pillows on beds/couches, extra throw blankets in living spaces, more kitchen supplies such as Tupperware, and things like plungers in each bathroom. We also noticed that upon arrival there were no towels in bathrooms or the kitchen- we had to go to the laundry to stock all rooms and bathrooms ourselves. Not a big issue and still an amazing property/experience, but those are just the little touches that do make a difference.

Wonderful lakeside retreat

We stayed on cold sunny winter days, perfect for the hot tub while taking in the wonderful views of the lake and snow-capped hills. The house is roomy, having an architectural layout and expansive kitchen that makes a family gathering or reading a book by the fireplace all simultaneously enjoyable. The 'movie/game room' was fun and super comfortable, with the projection tv/sound system giving a bright and big experience. The house was quiet, and set-back on gorgeous grounds. We'll be back... hopefully on some summer day to take a dip in the lake.
