LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This Clam Lake House is located across the street from Clam Lake but only 250' away from a shared dock that you can leave 1 pontoon or 1 small fishing boat during your stay. Please email the manager to see if your boat will fit at the dock. The dock is a partial floating dock and a partial fixed dock (see pictures). A large metal wagon is available to transport your cooler, fishing gear, life jackets, etc….to the dock. Two public boat launches are less than 5 minutes away. The 1 level, 3 bedroom (plus a front room with a Murphy bed and a pull out sofa) house sleeps 12 people and is great for 2 families or a group friends to share a vacation. Step outside the sliding glass door from the living room to the large patio to enjoy meals and conversation. Jump in your boat and head to breathtaking Torch Lake (less than 5 minutes) or travel to the famous sandbar at the south end of the lake. A propane grill is available on the patio to prepare your summer favorites. The big back yard is ideal for playing catch, bean bags or any other games you bring to enjoy. Bring your favorite books and inside games too. In addition, the Clam Lake House is perfectly located 6 miles between the quaint villages of Bellaire and Alden. You will be amazed at the diverse activities, shops and restaurants that are available in these villages. After a day on the lake, you can enjoy smores around the campfire and watch the stars come out and if you are lucky see a falling star. Take your boat (5 minutes) and dock it at The Dockside Torch Lake to enjoy food and drinks or drive just 1.3 miles to the beach next to “The Dockside Torch Lake” to see some of the best sunsets Northern Michigan has to offer. You can also see beautiful sunsets and a panoramic view from Torch Lake Cellars Winery (2.3 miles). We look forward to your visit and hope you can experience this “Up North” location every year!
Lakes/Rivers: You can boat through Clam Lake to the serene Grass River and enjoy a 30 minute no-wake ride to Lake Bellaire. Lake Bellaire will take you to Intermediate River that you can take to downtown Bellaire and park your boat to enjoy the Village of Bellaire. You can also travel to Elk Lake and Skegemog Lake from Torch Lake.

Butch’s Tackle and Marine is located 1.3 miles away on Clam River at the mouth of Torch Lake. You can rent a variety of water toys (jet skis, stand up paddle boards, tri-toons, kayaks, tubes for boating, wake boards, water skis, speed boats) on their website butchstorchlake.com They also have hot and cold take out food (best broasted chicken in the area), snacks, drinks, Torch Lake souvenirs and clothing, tackle and much more. If you use their boat ramp, they ask that you step inside and check out what they have to offer.
Pontoon Rentals-Dockside Torch Lake is located 1.3 miles away and rents tri-toons and wave runners. You can reserve online dockside-watersports.com

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. The contract attached to the listing must be signed by the primary guest who is 25 years are older. The primary guest must make sure that all guests read the contract.
2. The lake bottom at the dock is too mucky for swimming.
3. The water is shallow at the dock and will only accommodate a pontoon, a wave runner or a small fishing boat. However, 2 public boat launches (Clam Lake and Torch Lake) are less than 5 minutes away for larger boats

5. The house is air conditioned.
6. There are neighbors on 1 side of the cottage and across the road directly in front of the house on the lake.
7. The fireplace in the living room is NOT for guest use.
8. Property lines are marked with stakes. Please do not move these as we need to respect surrounding property owners.
9. In order to receive 100% of security deposit all check out items (in contract) must be completed.
