Great stay!
Great place to stay! Not too far away from shops and restaurants but you will need to plan to drive. Bar harbor has plenty of parking. Very quiet and very clean

We enjoyed our stay. Nice little walking path outside of the hotel with views of the coastline. They didn’t have free hot breakfast, but did set out breakfast bars in the lobby for free everyday which was nice. Other than a stain on one of the chairs in our room, it was very clean. In a nice, quiet area with only a 5 minute drive from shopping and dining. Free bus transportation was available if needed. 4 out of 5 stars!

Good overall
Check in was slow and they weren’t concerned. Business center and coffee bar was always messy. They had a sign offering hot cider starting at 4 but never had any. We were confused about the name because Regency was on a lot of things and town people referred to it as such. Room was ok but it looked like we got one of the dated ones compared to some we saw. Bed was comfy though. We ate at Stewmans lobster pound onsite the night we arrived which happened to be their last night for the season and it was good. We also were able to catch a free bus to downtown and their season was over our last night too. It was too cold to fully enjoy the property but it looked like a great summer place to stay.

Convenient to Acadia National Park. There are some good amenities - complimentary laundry, an outdoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, racquetball/pickleball court. Additionally, there are a few tours (whale watching, etc) that leave from the hotel. The local free Island Explorer bus has a stop on the hotel property that will take you to downtown Bar Harbor. There is also what seemed to be a popular restaurant and bar on site, though I did not take the opportunity to visit these. Free, onsite parking is plentiful. There is an accessible business center which is useful for printing off passes to Acadia National Park. The rooms and halls are somewhat run down - not unclean, but also not updated.

Great views, staff, & amenities
We absolutely loved the grounds, amenities, views, and staff. I do recommend the hotel look into some updating for the rooms. There were some items that were out of date and just didn’t give as nice of a stay. We had issues with the sound of pipes when others around us were showering. They would squeal like crazy but it wasn’t an all the time thing. I highly recommend and would stay again.

The bed was worn out. It sagged in different directions. I was sore from sleeping on it. The windows are single pain glass and the what g system needs an update. I was cold when I wasn’t hot. It was loud so I kept the temp down at night so I could sleep better. Moisture built up on the glass and the room had a mildewy smell. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner not so much. They ran out of gluten free crust and since their food is prepped in the morning is supplied by a vendor they could not cook to order to accommodate my food allergies. The chairs in the restaurant are worn out too. Some noise dampening of the road noise is needed, like a physical barrier, better walls annd windows. The hotel overall is in need of a major update. The people were nice though. They tried their best. For the money I would go elsewhere if hotel travel is your thing.
