Only a 3 hour check-in window. I wasn’t going to make it on time so they left the room open with the key inside. Little creepy but fine. I got there at 7:30pm. I pulled the covers back on the bed…so much hair. Also all over the blanket. I ran out to the closest wal-mart and bought some cheap bedding and a pillow. There were also dead bugs around the room and I killed a cockroach. I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular, but for $250 a night it should have been cleaner.

We traveled with our dog and stayed in a cabin. We liked the location close to the Acadia Park entrance and to the shopping and dinning of Bar Harbor. The cabin is cozy but has all that you need for plesant vacation. Would stay there again next time in the area.

I had low expectation for Motel as I had many Hotel and Motel experience, however, when I first come to this room, it was definitely one of the most cleanest room I have seen, and the staffs are supportive, helfpul.! I definitely would recommend this Motel to anyone who visit Arcadia National Park, it's short driving distance to the Park and local shops!

This is a beautiful place and the room is so quaint and clean. The only complaint we had is the bed was so uncomfortable. But besides that we really liked it here.

Lovely property. Efficient check in, check out. Big, comfortable bed. Nice front porch. Loud, noisy A/C unit. Could have used some cutlery and proper mugs.

Perfect location to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia, but far enough to get away from everything. Millie and her husband are delightful and so helpful. They made our stay great. We extended our stay a night and had to move cabins. Both were clean, comfortable and just the right size. The property in the back was perfect for the dogs.

Nice hotel, but terrible wi-fi

A great hotel option if you want to stay close to the park, but don’t want to get stuck in bar harbor. Service was EXCELLENT and the room was very comfortable, but the wi-fi was very unreliable. This is particularly problematic, as many carriers don’t offer cell phone service in the national park. So it becomes very inconvenient to not be able to check email or use the Internet from the hotel. I had to drive 10 minutes into bar harbor every day to download emails and do research for my trip.

As a solo traveler, I had an excellent stay in Cabin 1 at Gallagher's Travels. Not only was the cabin attractive and clean, with a working mini-fridge, toaster, and microwave, there was beautiful, red-orange Thunbergia named "Sunny Susy" growing from a pot hanging from the front porch. I noticed it right away when I pulled in, and it made for a delightful welcome. Every day of my stay, the crack maintenance team remade my bed and placed new towels and toiletries in my bathroom: always when I was out, so I could come home to fresh things! (Don't forget to tip them, folks!) The lovely woman at the front desk who checked me in and out without an issue had a marvelous sense of humor and showed me great kindness. Kindness goes a LONG way with me. I felt instantly at home. Also, I got to meet her dog Max, who had a lot to say to me! 😄

It was a really nice quiet hotel. Convenient location. Clean. Would stay here again. Only odd thing was front desk was only open 3-6. They were available by phone other times.
