Street parking only was a surprise
Constant barking sea lions was bothersome
All room facilities worked as expected
Would have been fun to ride the trolley that stopped in front but its schedule was limited
Excellent Italian restaurant suggested
by staff
The view from our room was great, right on the water. Except for the seals it was very quiet. It was located on an old pier and was walking distance to some really good restaurants. The only slightly negative was the parking. We had to park on the street a couple blocks away, not a big deal. They do offer valet parking for $10 per day. Next time we'll probably take advantage of the valet parking.
We will definitely come back here again, and will recommend the Bowline to others..
The staff was very welcoming as we entered greeting us with Champagne!
Our room was exactly as advertised, very lux, well appointed with a cozy vibe.
Love the view, listening to the water against the pier, and soaking in the tub, we will be back!

Someone was screaming punching walls fighting drunk at 0300am disturbing guests our family listened to this and were very concerned and fearful stating they were very drunk and crazy. Room 18 along the lower level could not sleep
The stay was great. However, I was double charged. I paid upfront through hotels.com and then they charged the 1 night stay at Bowline instead of charging for valet. Now I am waiting for it to reconcile and dispute it with my bank. Customer service and system needs improvement and created an inconvenience for me to deal with.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Overall nice stay but expensive, there's an added fee for amenities but the sauna had cracks and didn't always have water available in the bucket. The beds are too soft.
This was our second time at the Bowline. The staff was incredibly friendly. You can't beat the location over the water. We had our two year old with us and he absolutely loved the sea lion viewing area on the boardwalk between the two hotel buildings.
Great food at the restaurant, great spot to just chill and read a book and look out over the water and WA.
Hope to make it back again next year!
What a little gem!!! Nothing short of ORIGINAL … share your stay with the resident sea lions. Beautiful, funky, incredibly stylish. Literally everything has been thought of. Don’t miss the chance of staying here. Great food, lovely staff and the cutest sea lions!!!
Nicely appointed property, friendly atmosphere but leaving here totally unrested after traveling for 7 days in Oregon. Have to find a place to park on the street. The foldout bed for the couch was a thin, uncomfortable POS, certainly needs to be trashed. Enjoyed the sea lions but they bark incessantly all night while listening to people walking around upstairs. Whew, we're tired, moving on.
The Bowline was our second stop of three. The property was nice, beautiful views comfortable sitting in The Knot, which is the bar/restaurant area with amazing views. Loved the room, not a fan of Astoria. We did venture down the road to a delicious dinner with fresh pasta. Probably the best meal on our week long trip.
