Anna Maria Island’s noise ordinance aims to ensure citizens can enjoy a peaceful environment. The ordinance applies to all areas of the city, including public and private property, and places of business. It defines noise as any sound that annoys or disturbs a reasonable person of ordinary sensibilities or causes or tends to cause an adverse physical or psychological effect on such reasonable person. The noise ordinance limits the maximum permissible noise levels to:
7 AM–10 PM: 65 decibels: (Consistently shouting in the pool exceeds 65 decibels)
10 PM–7 AM: 50 decibels: (An audible conversation from 50’ or 15 meters away exceeds 50 decibels)
The ordinance also prohibits plainly audible noise, which refers to any sound that can be clearly heard by a person using their normal hearing faculties. This means that a person can still be in violation if the noise can be easily heard by responding officers from a distance of 100 feet from the property line. Fines for excessive noise can range from $100 to $1,000.

Great spring break trip!

We loved the property & location. Beach access was a quick 3 min walk. Plenty of room to spread out in the house too and nice outdoor area!

Not clean plus roaches

Great location, great house with lots of potential. However, when we arrived we had to start cleaning the kitchen, the sink was leaking, oven and fridge were nasty, there was fungus and mildew in the kitchen. Bed sheets and towels were dirty. Air ducts are very dirty as well, lots of dust. Pool is set at a very cold 80F and we killed a total of 7 roaches during the stay. We checked in at 5:15, so the office was closed, the lady that answered the 24/7 trouble line, hanged up on us twice. Said that water leaking from the sink into the kitchen and a nasty fridge and oven was not an emergency and had to wait until Monday. Eventually someone called us back, they sent a cleaning person. We ended up cleaning a lot of this stuff and washed all the bedding and towels before using them. Will not rent again with them.

Nice house but needs TLC !!!!

Spacious, nicely decorated house. Lots of stairs to 3rd level; Grill was nice; wagon for beach handy; porches were nice to sit out on. Plenty of closet space. However, we had some issues that we weren't pleased w/considering we paid a lot for this rental. Upon arrival, landscapers were still there. Parking was tight for our SUV's and long golf cart but we managed; the fridge was not making ice--- wish we would have been told prior to arrival (prop mgt did offer to reimburse us & did have the maint tech bring us a bag 1 day); had to get ant baits for tiny ants in kitchen area; trash bins were full outside; a/c vents & fans were dirty and we have allergies so we asked to get those cleaned; floors dirty; leaking water under the kitchen sink; loose screws on railings; sliding glass door has packaging tape on it with bugs in the slider rails; the pool never really seemed to warm up especially at nite. There is no spa as advertised. Our pool lights were dead so they had to replace them bc I asked the pool tech to check. This should have been done prior to our arrival; also landscapers and pool maint came again to do service on same day and we couldn't swim in pool for 5 hrs which took time away from the kids using it; these items should be scheduled before guests arrive or after they leave but we dealt with it; mosquitoes are an issue outside by pool area so bring bug spray; wi-fi spotty in some areas of the house; We did reach out to prop mgt company several times for all the issues... at first we couldn't reach anyone... Then after sending email, I got a response from prop mgt mgr and addressed our issues and she was responsive to them and said they would be taken care of on Monday (we arrived on Saturday). We just wish we didn't have to deal with all this stuff since we were on vacation. There were 8 of us staying here and we discussed if we wanted to come back next year, the vote was a NO. We have stayed in AMI in other different rentals that cost less with little or no issues at all and this was the exception. Our expectations were high considering the high pricing. A few stormy days, but that's Florida! All in all, our suggestion for prop mgt would be to have someone come checklist the house before guests arrive. So many things could have been taken care of before we got there so that we wouldn't have had to deal with interruptions. Apparently, this house has been remodeled several times and there are termites. Please give this house some TLC!!!

Great AMI House!

3 generations of our family (7 people-all adults) stayed at this lovely home on the north end of AMI in May 2022. It fit our needs perfectly with the right configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms. From the third floor deck, we had beautiful Gulf views of the aquamarine water. But a new home was under construction directly across from the property that may block the view when it is complete. The pool in the backyard was lovely and partially shaded for those of us who couldn't tolerate extended sun exposure. Ample beach towels were provided, along with a very well-made beach cart that made hauling all our gear to the beach easy on our 3-minute walk. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment. That was appreciated since we prepared all meals except one at the house. The home's beach decor was tastefully designed and that really added to the vacation vibe. A few of things that detracted from the house that I feel need to be mentioned, but would not deter me from renting again. 1. Australian pine trees are close by on a nearby property. Shedding pine needles ended up in the pool daily and we had to use the skimmer pole to remove as much as we could prior to swimming. It was impossible to get all of them out of the pool. Obviously, it wasn't the owners fault that neighbors have shedding trees, but it didn't seem the pool was cleaned or serviced on a weekly basis (never saw evidence of it) that I would have thought would be scheduled during the busy summer rental season. Not a huge deal, but renters should be aware of the pine needle situation. 2. The outside of the house especially in the back needed a good pressure washing and window cleaning. Again, not a huge deal, but it looked dingy. 3. This third item could have ruined the trip for us, but thankfully, property mgt was accommodating. The eight dining chairs were ghost chairs--clear plastic, designer chairs that we learned cost $600 each. On the 3rd night, my son-in-law, an average-sized man, got up from the chair when the arm of the chair broke away from the base. Again, he is not a big person and did not do anything rough to the chair, only stood up. I called property mgt the next day, was told a chair had broken before, but they had to notify the owner to determine if we would be charged. I stated those delicate chairs were NOT a good choice for a rental home. Ultimately we were not charged for the chair. Overall, a wonderful stay, but beware of chairs!

Great property. All you need to relax. Clean, with a really great pool. It was further from the beach than I thought and parking anywhere except in your drive way is not great. Thank goodness they have a nice beach cart to pull and carriers all your beach gear. Ocean water is fantastic. Clear and calm. Great for floating and diving for sand dollars.

Summer fun on AMI

Great location on North Shore, immediate beach access and well laid out. improvements could be made re: appliances (refrigerator dirty and ice maker didn't work), mosquitos made back yard/pool close to uninhabitable and outdoor fans could be upgraded. first day we were there pool was over chlorinated and burned my kids eyes, I assume it was treated too close to our arrival and we weren't notified. management company never checked in after our arrival.
