Nasty and disappointing. Don’t waste your time!
This property is located on a very steep one lane mountain road that has no guardrail. It is a direct drop off down the mountain so if you are not an experienced mountain driver, DO NOT come here. You will be terrified. We have a lot of experience and we’re still very nervous. There were no directions on how to get to this secluded cabin from the main road in Vrbo so we used Waze. We were navigated way beyond the actual cabin and ended up having to circle around the mountain multiple times in these dangerous conditions (in a suburban filled with children and my dog) until we found someone to ask. It ended up being much further back than our navigation took us. The driveway looked completely different than the picture in Vrbo. The bottom of the driveway had a for sale sign in it as well. After we got in, which was very easy, we noted that the carpet had stains all over it from previous renters’ pets that were not cleaned. We went to use the bathrooms and the smell of urine hit us at the door. The bottom edges of the toilets were stained yellow with urine and crusted. The toilet brush holder was filled with old nasty drippings from previous usage. It was disgusting and unacceptable. The carpet felt crunchy because of the pet stains that had been left to just petrify. It was absolutely foul. The beauty of the area is stunning, but the filth in this place is unacceptable. Cant believe I paid over $700 for 2 nights of PISS, faulty electricity, and bad internet.

Race weekend cabin
Nice cabin, good location, but driveway is steep and loose rock. We had 4×4 trucks, the one car had to park at bottom of driveway. Too steep for a car in wet conditions.

A great time for a cheap price
I had a little trouble opening the gate because I was given the wrong code but within 2 minutes of emailing the company about having trouble they gave me the right code. Besides for the 1 small inconvenience that was fixed almost immediately everything with the cabin was perfect and I had a great time with my friends and girlfriend. They also had a lot of firewood which was awesome because me and my friends love sitting at fires. I had a great time and would 100% go back.

Horrible Property
The property had over grown weeds, cigarette butts, and trash. The home itself was very dirty and rundown. There were cobwebs in the windows, a window that was broken in the up position with no screen so bugs were coming in. One of the kids went to unplug a lamp to plug in there phone and was shocked because it had a bad wire. The dining tables were cloth and everyone of them looked like someone had urinated on them. It took us 3 days to get the hot tub cleaned. It was just a horrible experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Nice place. Driveway is a little hard to get up, but we did it in a minivan. The place had plenty of space and was private. We had a great time.

There for the Smoky mountain relay
The property was very nice. Pretty clean, the staff communicated with us well and we were able to find it pretty easily with the printed directions. The hot tub has seen better days. We have a very large and tall 12 seater van( Mercedes’ sprinter), parking it was hard and getting out was harder. So be prepared for a steep incline.

Unexpected visitors
After the first night, my friends husband realized he had been bitten by bedbugs. We immediately contacted the main office and they took care of us by moving us to a much nicer, more expensive cabin. The cloth headboards and carpet running throughout the house is not a good idea when you have multiple people staying at your place throughout the year. I do not blame the company for the bedbugs however it makes traveling much less appeasing when it happens.

Had a wonderful time! Did not expect the hot tub to work to be completely honest but was pleasantly surprised. Only problem we had was that there was no internet during our stay but we made the most of it and had an incredible time! Highly recommend.

Great little getaway spot
We were on an adult getaway with a total of 3 couples. We loved the location and privacy! The driveway is quite steep, and while our 4wd Yukon had no problems, one of the couple's had a FWD car that barely made it up. The property is exactly as described. The carpet was a little dirty, but otherwise, the cabin was spotless, and was nicely appointed. Overall, I think this is an amazing deal if you want some seclusion, and don't mind driving a bit to get back to civilization. We'll definitely stay here again.

Girls weekend trip
Overall it was a very nice stay. A couple of things like no trash can in bathroom, not enough wine glasses plates. Driveway on one sid very steep. Dining room chairs and carpeting is dirty. Most jets don’t t work in Jacuzzi Good things Are lots of firewood for the fire pit and the fireplace. Lots of beds and enough bathrooms to accommodate seven women. Very private and gated community. Overall was great

It was ok
When I was packing everything I looked under the bed to check if there was anything under there and there was a half eaten pice of bread. We did not have bread while we were there. The manager told us Friday that no one was there before us because I had to call them about the hot tub being nasty but over all it was ok but this place was just nasty. And some of the stuff was broken like our bed frame.

Great location near Nantahala
This could be such a great house! The kitchen is large with a great lay-out, and the location is lovely, so close to Fontana Lake and the NOC. During our August, 2021 visit the cabin was in serious need of maintenance, and the hot tub was not working. Management was responsive and apologetic, although nothing could be done during our stay. A partial refund esp. of the hot tub fee has been negotiated, and I'm grateful for that responsiveness. I would stay here again upon reassurance from the property manager that the deferred maintenance (carpet cleaning/replacement, wall patching/paint, kitchen appliances replacement, and an outside pressure wash) has been completed. Note that our non-AWD vehicles struggled with the driveway, but there is flat parking below the house.

Family lake trip
Nice house, beds were comfortable and rooms were nice sizes. A lot of little details could make this property really nice, missing trim, dirty trim, unfinished /holes in drywall, burners on the stove wouldn’t work, previous quest left dirty pans in cabinets.. etc. The driveway is definitely not boat friendly unless you have a truck, and our wheel chocks were stolen out of the driveway. Overall, good place to stay for the price !!

CHEROKEE visit
My family (8) adults used the cabin thru Watershed in Bryson City so we could go to Cherokee. We very much enjoyed the cabin. It was very nicely furnished & was very clean. We had plenty of privacy when using the outdoor facilities. My only issue (not a real issue I guess, just preference) was the steepness of the driveway & we could have used more towels & wash cloths. Otherwise I would definitely use Watershed again. The staff I talked with were very helpful & friendly.

Great value, nice cabin
While not a fancy cabin, it was very nice and met our expectations based on the description plus was a great value! The description led us to believe it wasn't too steep however the communication from the owners described the incline a bit more accurately. We did not have any major issues and would stay again.

Good but spartan
Comfy beds and furniture. Great appliances. Amazing water heater (seriously HOT water!). Management was communicative and helpful, but the property itself was spartan. We had a good time, but we felt some basic vacation rental touches were missing. For example, extra blankets (particularly in cold months) and a welcome note with WiFi & house details (what to do with trash, if there is recycling, if beds should be stripped, hot tub info...). We also suggest the owner conduct an inventory of the kitchen, as some new cooking utensils and matching dishware for 8-10 (the maximum occupancy of the house is 10, I believe?) would greatly improve the guest experience.
