Upon arrival you see an abandoned old Shilo van. Trash overflowing outside. Grass and trees growing out of gutters. Mold growing on siding. Checking in told pool is once again closed. Restaurant has yet to reopen from before 2020. Check in staff is acting like we are bothering them. Next we are shown a sign that basically says they no longer clean until after you check out. Doesn’t set key cards right and we have to get them done two more times. Entering room only one glass, no regular sugar packets, a dark pubic hair on counter by microwave. Ice bucket has nasty in it too. Stains of some sort of nasty on chairs. No Kleenex. Toilet has not been cleaned and has nasty stains. More nasty in tub. Later find the drain is clogged when we shower. Gross gross gross. Nonsmoking allowed but yet both nights we smell pot and not just a small whiff but of course heavy. Housekeeping is being very unprofessional talking about guests and admin. Talking about not cleaning bathrooms. This hotel used to be very nice and now it’s BAD!!!!

We really wanted to love it but we didn’t. The highs: ocean view and easy parking. The lows: We got there and the pool and hot tub were closed (wasn’t noted on their website this was part of what we were excited for). The room was very minimally cleaned The sheets made everyone in the family itch The staff (with the exception of the lady who checked us out) were rude and short with us The bed was the literal worst bed we have ever slept in The balcony which we paid extra for was rotting and not sturdy enough for any of us to stand on and also pooled with water The door was almost off it’s hinges The lights all flickered and the wallpaper everywhere was peeling off. The microwave was dirty The fridge door was broken The restaurant and lounge were also closed The fish tank display was cracked and leaking and filthy Mold in the shower The chairs on the unusable balcony were rusted and falling apart. We paid extra to go to this hotel because of the reviews. We just feel this is wholly inaccurate and are very disappointed.

Super gross
The guy at the front desk with rude and short upon arrival. When we finally got the keys to our room the room had black mold in the bathroom, out dated furniture, stains on furniture, beds VERY uncomfortable, the pool area was filthy, dirt and grime all over the floor and the fish tanks were also filthy. The hotel smelt of stale cigarettes and our balcony flooring was bubbling up and felt like it was going to fall off the building. There seems to only be 4 people working there and that includes the cleaning staff. Very rundown and out dated.

Well it was advertise with a restaurant lounge, which were both closed second of all my non-smoking room if I would’ve known that, there’s people smoking in there. I would’ve brought an air purifier because i wasn’t able to sleep all night.due too tobacco smell

It’s outdated but has some great features. The tip floor has awesome ocean views. The hot tub wasn’t too hot enough but sauna was perfect!!

The location is close to the beach. The place smells musty, the carpets were dirty, the bed was hard, the staff always seemed like they felt inconvenienced. The bed had no real blankets, only sheets, the room was not stocked with any towels, requested towels were left on the ground in the hallway where people walked. The wifi barely reaches the rooms and consistently disconnects due to bad connection. Our ocean view, which cost extra, was blocked by overgrowth. You cant even vape on the balcony, they threaten you with a $350 penalty, not that you would want to because it was dirty. The TV was so old you couldn't give it away, typical, but not for over $200 a night. They pretended the restaurant was only temporarily closed, yet from reading others experiences it is clear that it has been closed for years and they falsely advertise having one. The elevator was out 2 of the 3 days, including checkout. Which meant we had to carry everything down stairs. As someone who only gets to vacation once every 4 or 5 years, I feel cheated. It will be a long time before I get to stay away from home again, but you can rest assured that I wont be staying at any Shiloh Inn location ever again

Property seriously outdated. Like nothing has been replaced since 1975. Very strange. Water stains on ceiling. Weird smelling. Uncomfortable beds. A/C cooled weird part of room but not bedroom area so was hot and muggy while trying to sleep. NO towels were in the room. The restaurant was closed. The balcony was gross and not a place to enjoy. The staff at check in and out were nice. That was the only good thing about the stay.

This hotel is out dated, minimal staff and services. Deferred maintenance, threadbare towels, ran out of toilet paper. Really old beds, bedding, towels, furnishings, etc.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Expedia told us this was a pet friendly hotel, so we booked the ocean view room on the top floor. As it turned out, pet friendly rooms are only on the ground floor and the one we got smelled so bad of urine it burned our eyes. The hotel also warned us to be sure and keep the door locked as they have had breakins recently. Expedia told us it has a restaurant and room service. As it turned out, the restaurant was closed by authorities due to violations, hence no coffee in the AM. no Room service. The Hotel would not allow us to make changes since it was booked though Expedia. Lastly and most importantly, the automatic doors to enter the hotel only worked sometimes. It was so bad that we were asked by another customer if the hotel was even open because he could not get in. AND, our pet friendly hotel injured our dog because the automatic doors trapped his paw between the door and floor when it unexpectedly opened. We had no idea that Ocean Shores is pretty much closed after Labor Day. We struggled every day to find a place to get coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything was closed (for the season). To sum it all up, I believe Expedia charged us for the top floor King room and we ended up on the ground floor cheap room with no price adjustment.
