This is my second stay at the State Plaza Hotel. It’s very convenient for my needs when in DC. The staff has been friendly and helpful. The rooms are very big.

The tub filled with water when showering and there was a little mold around the tub. There was never enough toilet paper. Otherwise it was a nice room and everyone was pleasant.

Terrible disappointing
The hotel only has parking garage available and our vehicle did not fit in the garage. We had to park on the road which means time constraint as far as when we could park in the evening and how soon we had to get out the shower didn’t have hot water and the shower didn’t drain and see the picture. The kitchen was freezing as was the whole room, we turned the heat on in our room, but it did not work. They told us that the building was old and the heat was not on the whole building even though it was going down into the 30s at night. They did actually bring us a heater to the room see the picture below. Most expensive rooms we ever booked. And we will never book here again. The staff wasn’t even apologetic. I won’t recommend this hotel unless it’s the last one available.

Loved the neighborhood and being within easy walking distance of the White House and the National Mall monuments and other areas of interest. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean; loved having a kitchenette. The CVS right next door was another convenience.

Good location with complicated building layout
Good location and large, clean, comfortable room. The first day things were quiet, but the second day we could hear the people talking and moving around in the room next to us right by our beds. Staff was efficient and helpful. Check-in was a bit frustrating because we checked in in one building but then had to drive to another one and my gps only recognized one address for the hotel so we ended up driving around a couple times using a hand map the staff gave us that was difficult to read in the dark in a busy city. Fortunately street parking was free and available because of the time we arrived, or we would have spent $48/day to park. We had to once again drive around looking for parking. There were several stairs leading into the building and again from the lobby to the level with rooms/elevator which makes transporting luggage difficult. Fortunately the staff was quick to offer help with carrying our bags.

Great staff. Want to help out and make your stay comfortable. Love the room. Bed was comfortable,everything very clean. Love the parking very safe. Only down side no fridge.We brought snacks had to throw them out. Otherwise loved it and would stay again when I return to Washington .

Great hotel, within a few blocks of the Lincoln memorial and the end of the reflection pool and mall area. Very nice hotel, room had full kitchen and bathroom and 2 queen beds and looked newer remodeled. The only downside is parking is available but only a few spots so get there early but otherwise nice hotel!
