Hotel was in a perfect location, the hotel was lovely and the staff was excellent. The Dockside restaurant was very nice with a great menu- food was very well presented and always delicious. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again.

I’m glad we ignored the negative reviews about the rooms being out dated, we found them to be modern, and clean. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. About the only odd thing about our room was the balcony with 2 chairs which is so small and narrow that it’s impossible to sit out there comfortably. Not a deal breaker for me though, but I wouldn’t have been happy had I paid extra for it.

GIH is an oasis in the city. You can walk everywhere or take the little ferry to downtown. It's a serene option versus staying in downtown Vancouver. We stay every year to attend Bard on the Beach which is a 20 minute walk away in Vanier Park. The hotel is very comfortable and the outdoor patio adjacent to the marina is lovely.

We planned this for awhile the granville island hotel has been an icon and very high end destination so we splurged on the weekend with an upgraded room. Unfortunately the reality doesn't live up to hype. Our room was not cleaned the bed not made up just pulled the bedding up not what you would expect from this level of hotel and price then to make things worse or more ludicorous the person act did turn down by folding back one corner and leaving a chocolate Not sure if this was because we booked with a 3rd party but any other expedia booking has been very good. My advice is be cautious or look else where lots of good alternatives for the same or less Disappointed expected the 4/5 star rating

Good central location and surprisingly quiet given the hotel's location on Grandville Island. Hotel staff was excellent and accommodating, quickly responding to any questions or requests. My only issue was with the restaurant, where things seemed a bit chaotic (we had cocktails and appetizers on the patio our first night and dealt with at least 3-4 different wait staff) and when I attempted to make a reservation (for our last evening), I was met with a hostess who was either having a really bad day or wasn't interested in helping or accommodating, as a result we ate elsewhere that evening. We later found out there was a wedding on the premises that day/evening, but really, the hostess could have been less snarky and also provided some context and options. Overall, would definitely consider this hotel again for our next stay.
