I went to the restaurant on the second floor. I ordered the steak medium rare. It came in medium well and had zero sear. I tried eating what I could (~1/3 to 1/2 of the steak, maybe?) and told the waitress when she asked how the food was. That steak was easily the worst steak I have had in years and it was $42. That's definitely not high-end pricing, but I expected better than a steak you could expect to get at a Chili's, lol. The rest of the food was good/decentw, though. Also, one of the women working the front desk made a comment about, "that's the guy that made a big stink in the kitchen" as I was walking away to her colleague. A big stink? All I did was comment on the steak and I showed it to my waitress when SHE asked. I didn't even bring it up myself. I was polite and I left her a 20% tip anyways. If that's making a 'big stink', then I have no idea how an actual meltdown would qualify, lol. I knocked down some stars for cleanliness because there was an enormous roach in my room (2-3"). Bathroom is tiny, but the water pressure and temperature regulation of the shower was good. Bed was comfortable. Overall, this hotel was ok, but leaves a lot of room for improvement.

The lobby has been renovated but the rooms are out dated and in need of repairs. The toilet ran all night, the shower door was broken and the shower water never got hot. We left early and found another hotel.

The dining room and bar were great. Food options could be expanded a bit at dinner. The staff was beyond wonderful on all shifts: Barrie, Luis, Madison, Jess and Sheila exceeded our expectations. Also, the housekeeping staff members were superb and friendly. Andy at the front desk was great, friendly and helpful when we arrived before check-in time. Our gratitude and thanks to all the hotel staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Mold in bathroom, sink, tub and toilet. My husband was on a work meeting and even though we had the do not disturb sign on our door, maid service still came in while he was on the meeting. The pool had cracks. The little coffee, snack shop wasn’t manned. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Had a horrible experience for a Hilton…pool/hot tub had furniture IN it, no ice machines worked except one In entire hotel, stains on our bedspread, room smelled, and both elevators were not working for this multi level building. One that worked a portion of the time had a huge crack in the glass.Extremely disappointed in this property.

I've stayed several times at this property. In the past, things seemed fine. This time, I noticed a lot of updates that needed to be done. I'm sure you've heard about the elevator issue. with only one elevator available for both guests and staff, everyone suffered. When I needed to be somewhere, I had to plan 15 extra minutes into my trip. If the cleaning staff had to use the elevator, I took even longer because their cart took up the whole elevator. When I saw that nightly parking fees were added to the bill, I was really disappointed. My room was ok, but not up to the previous quality. I normally don't complain about anything, but when I thought about daily problems, I was really upset with being charged more for less quality. The was no clock in the room, coffee maker was unplugged and I had to stand on my head to plug it in. A king room, that I had requested wasn't available . Maybe that would've been nicer. When I had to eat in the room again, my option was a frozen dinner from the little store. It would've been nice to have a microwave on the floor I was on. I ended up having to go to the 4th floor and then carry a hot pizza on the greasy box in the elevator up to my floor. Again, a wait on the elevator and a ride with people who didn't appreciate the smell in the elevator. It was, of course, a wait and the pizza was cold. In a hurry to catch a plane when I left in the morning to check out and the elevator wait. I didn't get a chance to discuss a price adjustment.

Disappointing Stay at Tucson Hilton East.
We have stayed at this property before and have previously had very enjoyable visits. This time, some employees were not polite or courteous. We had long waits for the elevator because the second elevator was broken (and has been for over a month). Appearances are that the property is not receiving the care and attention to details it previously received. There were paint chips on the carpet in the hall for the duration of our stay. The parking lot is in need of repaving and to pay $15 per night for unfenced, unsecured parking in poor repair seems unreasonable. It's the attention to details and guest accommodations that make a hotel a place where people want to return. Unfortunately, this won't be high on our list.
