Avoid this hotel and choose the new Eki-mae one
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The first night, we were assigned room 307 which had a lot of problems: 1. The chairs were dirty with large stains on the cushions. 2. The TV died suddenly and I had to call the hotel staff to reboot it. 3. Electricity kept cutting out in the room, including when I tried to take a shower. We finally asked for a change of room and was given a temporary room which was smaller than what we paid for. But at least it was clean and comfortable, and warm (we visited during late fall). The next day the hotel helped us move to another room in the top floor and it was a decent room. The cushions of the chairs still have stains though. Hotel breakfast was disappointing. Most of the food was cold, with the excepting of the rice porridge and the pot-dish (Nabe-mono or wonton). Since we visited in December when the temperature was near 0 C in the morning, having to eat cold food was especially unpleasant. Overall, go for the new Daiwa Roynet Toyama Eki-mae. That one is brand new and from what I could see from the outside, a much better choice.

Overall, the room is very clean and neat. The staff are quite friendly. The room is spacious enough. But the sound insulation of the rooms is not good. Also the hotel does not have any exercise facilities, nor public bath.

good hotel and very good location. near to famous places i.e. toyama castle, museum, mall. Only suggestion is to provide the water bottle at least 1 bottle in a day. Overall very good hotel.

Affordable and comfortable hotel
The hotel is just next to tram station which is really convenient and easy to find. I like the hotel room which is clean and comfortable to stay. Their breakfast buffet is simple but delicious as well

Convenient hotel in central Toyama
Hotel is in a good location in Toyama city centre. Tram stop outside, with easy access to Toyama station, and just around the corner from Toyama Castle, and close to Matsugawa River - great for watching cherry blossom in spring time. Hotel had lovely buffet breakfast selection, and staff were friendly and English speaking. Service was good, and rooms were clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious.

Near to Toyama Castle far from JR Station
This hotel surrounded by lots of Karaoke outlet. Decent restaurant is found in Daiwa shopping center which is about 10min walk from hotel within that shopping street. There is also a Tram station near to the hotel, make it convenient for those who wish to commute by tram. Family Mart convenient store is right infront. Overall not a bad choice.

Very great hotel close to downtown Toyama
Fantastic location with sightseeing interest points, restaurants and shopping malls within walking distance. Great facilities to park a car. And very friendly but discreet staff. I highly recommend this hotel.
