Typical 3-4 star Japanese hotel. Room is small, but clean. Two major concerns: 1. Towel has a very strong disinfectant smell; 2. Could be noisy with the passing trains.

Another fantastic Gate Hotel branch in Ginza with great facilities, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and clean and spacious rooms. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely return next time we visit the Ginza area. Thank you to all the staff that looked after us at The Gate Hotel Tokyo. The Gate Hotel is well located in Yurakucho (on the fringe of Ginza). Public transport (metro, train station, taxi stand) on the door step. Plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Modest room size (typical Tokyo) but offers good value compared to other hotels of similar standard in the area. Staff very friendly. Having a drink in the afternoon on the outside lobby deck is nice (weather pending)
