Great hotel in the middle of downtown Sydney. Very close to the subway and a short stroll from the ferries and the Sydney Opera house. We used the hotel's restaurant (not the very expensive Bentley) and it was excellent especially the kid's pastas.

Close to Circular Quay, Pitt St Mall and short walk to Darling Harbour. Across the road a train station is being built. We experienced jack hammering right at 8am. In all fairness we were up and moving by then anyway. Just was not expected.

Starting to slip with standards, the rooms are not that special for the money. I had a disagreement about a room that was meant for two adults and a teenager … they took the booking but only a queen bed for the 3 of us. They wanted $90 per night extra for a fold away bed. They did move us to a twin after a discussion in which they said they were empty and would move us. The twin was a better outcome but still an average room. One member of staff suggested I read expedias terms as it states that Children upto 17 years old need to share the bed . So technically 3 large humans in a Queen. Whatever … I have since pulled our business for 6months as a protest, to what on an empty night was totally ridiculous situation by check in staff.

Great hotel. Clean. The bellman was really nice and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay in a great location, 15 minute walk to the Opera House, Sydney Eye, and Botanic Gardens. Close to great restaurants and Chinatown. Front desk was really great helping us get checked in a bit early.
