On the correspondence email, it says reception closes at 6pm, then at 4.30pm,we received an email saying reception is closed. We wanted to park our car in their parking garage, but there was no one to talk to, and the contact number went straight to message bank. I also sent an email via Lastminute.com.au, and no one responded.
We had booked 2 rooms - one with a queen bed, the other with a queen and single. When we arrived, both rooms had 1 king bed each, so our child had to sleep between us. Again, there was no one to contact when we got there. On the day that we checked out, the reception staff said that Lastminute.com.au made the mistake, and it showed the booking as 2 double rooms on their end.
The room was small, but enough for 2 people. Sheets and bathrooms looked clean. The freezer section was filled with ice, and wasn't usable for us. The room aircon was fixed to the fan, we couldn't moderate the temperature to our comfort. The room fan was also only working on the highest setting, so we had to either have it on the highest mode - which was loud - or had to have it off.
Breakfast was okay: cereals, yoghurt, minimal options with fruit. There were hot food options too (sausages, baked beans, bacon). There is no smoking, even on the outdoor balcony, and there is a restriction to use the balcony area only until 10.30pm. Location is good. We walked 25 minutes to Circular Q, and walked back from Darling H in about 40mins.With so many options, I wouldn't rebook this place
