I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff were very bad, unprofessional service, discriminatory and contemptuous attitude towards customers. The room was small and cramped. They wanted to charge an extra $70 usd for an extra person to stay at their hotel. That's crazy, $70 usd for one person? They wanted to cram 3 of us into a small room with 1 queen bed for over $140 usd. Very bad, terrible experience.

Worst Hotel I've Ever Been At...
Hotels.com website-Hotel 81 Orchid looked beautiful. A variety of close venues & shopping, large rooms, beautiful views from the window. As we pull up in a GRAB the driver tells us to be careful we are in the RED LIGHT DISTRICT so don't go out & if we do hold onto our phones & purses. We get to the hotel, it is in the ghetto, paint is peeling off the wall outside, across the street is terrible housing and hotels sell by the hour, I booked it because of the photos & it said it was close to popular downtown market area, sites & airport as well as cruise terminal which was very welcome, we decided to walk to find food as the hotel didn't even provide drinking water, but within a half a block we were stepping over dead cockroaches and fish heads on the street. After walking a few blocks, we found a small store, bought cup o noodles as well a few bottled waters & decided it was safer to go back to the hotel. We finally were able to check in. It the price I booked was $187.00 US$ the Hotel clerk said it would be $335.00 US$/$244.88 Singapore $... I said NO DAMNED WAY, that I had the currency converter & the price was $187.00 US$ but he still charged me $196.80 US$ anyways. Then we get into our room only to see a 10x10 room with no window, looking more like an LA county jail cell then a hotel. shower in the bathroom which the shower is right next to the toilet over the toilet. The sink got wet, the floor was a wading pool. This was a terrible experience and I may 2nd guess Hotels

I like the hotel but something can be improved like the front desk staff they can great the guest and little bit talking with the guest will be amazing but they ware helpful calling me a taxi when I needed it.

The hotel room and the bath room is too mall, almost no spaces for our luggage and this area looks ghetto, Many men hang out, smoking on every block and feels unsafe to walk alone to the shopping center and restaurants at night time.

I had a really pleasant stay and I like that each day after was left for me outside my door. There was as some construction working going on but there was signs up about this. I also was helped getting a taxi arranged on the day of my departure. Staff were also amazing. I will be using this hotel again for future visits to Singapore!

Very handy to buses and food outlets but was disappointed with the size of the room reminded me of the of a cabin on a ship . Small bathroom, toilet combination. Twin superior room should be classed as songle. The staff are good.

I had the worsed experience, I ask them everyday to change my bed sheets and clean the room since the bed sheets is full of blood and it smells bad , but they said they can’t change because only 2 time in 1 week they can change .

We did like just going out for meals was very easy & nice price. Staff phoned for cabs ,& answered questions & always very nice & polite. Thank god for air conditioning but the bed was very very firm & more hanging clothes options would definitely be an improvement

Short stay for small family of three. Area surrounding the hotel feels a bit dirty and seedy but we encountered no trouble ( gives out a bit more working class genuine vibe compared with the CBD area) Room very small but clean hard for more than one person to move around. Staff seemed uniterested unless the boss was there ( he also was happy to give us late check-out which I was pleased with. Transport options are busses about a 5 minute walk if you can work out the timetable or mrt which goes past marina bay about 15 minute walk. Overall if you go in knowing it's a budget hotel you will be ok.

For a solo traveller that like to save more its fine. But the price isnt convenient at all to stay. Rooms are too small like the size of a bathroom. Tv isnt working and wifi as well for a price of 188$ per night. Bed are terrible . Overall a 0.5 star.
