I was really looking forward to our first stay at a 5 star Movenpick and our experience was less than 5 stars. I’ve had better facilities and service at 3 star hotels. The room was lovely, however I kept tripping on the step down into the bathroom and the bathroom door wouldn’t close completely. We also had to ask for a third towel (as there was three of us) and got the third degree on where to look in the obvious spot for one first. Ordering room service was very difficult as well as lugging our bags to and from the room. I did however enjoy the breakfast offerings, they could do with a better coffee machine.

Nice hotel be wary if reliant on airport transport
Good hotel with good breakfast and dinner. The disappointing part of the stay was the airport shuttle. Supposed to arrive at 8.45pm turned up at 9.25 and is a tiny bus only enough room for our party left others waiting. Went to book the return for the morning told fully booked from 6.30am to 2.30pm. Clearly not enough transportation for an airport hotel

Stay was ok. 2 issues the shuttle only runs every 2 hours forces you to get a taxi. You can not walk to the Outlet Mall dual carriage way and swamp in your way! Please update your details

Handy for the airport and the architecture was interesting. The hotel is alcohol free and a wine with dinner would have been nice. Room lock wasn't working when we arrived so we had to wait. At 7:30 at night it was a minor inconvenience.

This property is very old, the worst thing is their phone didn’t work, we waiting for their shuttle at the airport around 90 minutes, we have call so many time but nobody answered the call. So we have to call a taxi. Their buffet quality is very poor, look like they have fired their chief chef for long time, no supervisor to oversee their performance, overall I will never come back again!

We stayed at the hotel with young children. Hotel amenities were pretty good. Rooftop pool was great with impressive views. The hotel had a small kids club along with a convenient store and a very nice spa. Buffet breakfast was really good with a wide range of food and we loved it. The staff were very friendly which made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located near the KL international airport which makes is perfect for overnight connecting flights. Despite the fact that rooms were a bit aged at the time of our visit, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for our next Malaysia trip. Thank you Movenpick team!

A bit of a disappointment
Very limited dining options available. Shuttle service VERY limited. Pool staff were excellent especially with our grandchildren. Considering the proximity to the Outlet Mall a shuttle service would have been fabulous as taxis were scarce and made movement between hotel and mall extremely inconvenient for those without Rideshare (Grab?) app.

I booked this hotel because it was 5 star and next to KL international airport. The staff were friendly, but the room was damp and smelled moldy; the thermostat couldn't be lowered below 73 F. When ordering room service, I was told the hotel did not serve alcohol! This appeared nowhere on the hotel website nor on the Expedia booking pag--which is misleading. This is not 5 star quality nor anything you would find in a Movenpick.

Staff there are lovely and really helpful, facilities are little run down our light switch broke and the mini step between bathroom and room is unsafe tripped over it a few times. Free in house movies was a great touch! Is good hotel if you want a stop off before your next flight- not much around the area that’s walking distance

Disgusting
The service is fine, but the place is absolutely in shambles. It is by far the dirtiest hotel we've stayed in in Malaysia yet, yet advertises itself as a 5 star hotel. The entire place seems to be falling apart, with every floor having leaking in the ceilings and mold growing. We are appalled that were were swindled into this hotel and would never stay here again.

A/C did not work when checked into the first assigned hotel room in 4th floor and had to request twice for them to turn it on; then they switched us to another room in the 6th floor instead but the air conditioning is still not that good but okay enough for us to just settle with it for only one night.

Not worth the money. Check in took ages, two huge groups had just arrived and they only had two people on the reception and refused to put more on. No help was offered with my luggage or to find my room. The free airport transfer doesn’t exist - only at certain times that didn’t fit with my flight and it requires booking 48 hours in advance which wasn’t made clear.

This airport hotel provides shuttle service from airport to hotel every two hours and we used them both ways. The room is beautifully decorated, modern and really clean. The staff is friendly from valet to receptionist and really helpful. We were given a free dink voucher at the cafe and a chocolate feast. We really enjoyed our last night in Kuala Lumpur before flying off to Sydney the next morning. Ket and James
