Great location! Hotel rooms are a bit dated. Really appreciated the faux wood floors in the room, but unfortunately they were filthy-actually sticky in spots.

When we finally went to our room after trying to get something to eat at the hotel, which we were not able to due to the small restaurant was booked and there was a New Year's Eve party at 8pm, we were overwhelmed by the smoke and heat on our floor, which featured a large terrace shared by many rooms with only double doors opening onto it, no security no screen door so you could open it...We checked out and were told to have Expedia call to refund us. Expedia said the hotel was not cooperate .

Hotel was beautiful and our room clean and nice. The entrance and the lobby are luxurious. The hallway carpeting on the room floors is very old and stained and definitely takes away from the overall high-end experience. The staff are all very polite and friendly, but our daily request to replace a dead lightbulb in the bathroom never happened, over a 5 day stay...the bathroom and the room do not have a single bright light, making it difficult to get ready or select clothing in the evenings. It was also very difficult to obtain more wood for the fireplace. We loved the heated pool and spas open even in the winter. The valet parking was very convenient. Overall, would stay again, but the guest requests for basic things like working lights or more firewood need to be met.

Only one issue…
Great location, excellent service. The only issue we had was heat that couldn’t be adjusted, so it was difficult to sleep in a hot room. The engineer tried fix it but couldn’t.

Lack of staff. Workers did not show up for their shifts. No cooks and no maid service during our whole stay. Disappointed because this was a 4 diamond resort a few years back and has gone downhill fast.

Overall, the hotel is excellent (great location, excellent valet crew, decent front desk staff) but gave it 4stars bc our room was not cleaned. When I called the front desk, they told me they were short staffed and didn’t apologize. I asked for clean towels which were provided within 30 minutes. I also texted a question but didn’t receive a response.

We stay very often in Santa Fe and in this hotel in particular and this has been one of the best experiences we have had with them. Staff was amazing and looking forward to make a good experience for us even though they were so busy on Jan 1 and service was slow they made it up for us! Our room was spacious and we had a small patio for our dogs to enjoy as well ; that was amazing and unexpected! Thank you for that! The cleaning service was slow but they try to make their best so it’s ok, we truly appreciate all the good stuff and times we have had at this hotel! We truly recommend everyone to stay here!

Pleasant stay, great location.
We spent three nights during New Year’s Eve and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful & excellent for its location since it’s only a block from the plaza and surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops that are w/in walking distance, including the rail yard district. The lobby is beautiful, but never got a chance to shop in its gift shop bc it was closed each time we tried to visit. There is a $35/day resort fee which covers a gym, water bottles in your room daily, and most importantly, valet garage parking, which is great since parking in the plaza area is expensive & limited. Our king room was comfortable w a couch, desk, fridge, keurig coffeemaker, but no microwave. The bedding was crisp & clean but the temperature in the room ran on the warm side, even when we ran the a/c. It never cooled below around 75, even though the thermostat showed 70. So we kept our balcony door open & just turned off the unit since outside temperatures were cool. Plenty of storage w big closet, including two bathrobes, desk & tv cabinet, and nightstands. The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that the only plug on the wall w the bed/nightstands was behind the bed so unreachable. I know it’s an older hotel and they only installed a few plugs in hotel rooms in the past, but with the amount of technology devices people travel with now, most hotels have installed either lamps w built in sockets or portable multi socket plugs at bedside. That’s our only complaint and it’s minor.
