At check in we were suddenly informed that parking was $30, and if something happened to our vehicle the hotel was not responsible. There was a homeless person who kept coming in and out of the hotel,, and as my husband and 9 year old son we’re pulling up saw her urinate in a bush in front of the Hotel. They next day she came back to breakfast and was grabbing food. My husband informed them again that she was in the hotel and the police had to be called.

Terrible Hotel.
Hotels.com website shows “airport shuttle”. Our flight today leaving SFO is @ 1:50 PM. Front desk advised us on arrival that shuttle service stopped at 9:45 AM. Checking Hampton Inn Burlingame website shows no shuttle at all. Message this morning from hotels.com on behalf of Hampton Inn shows shuttle available from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Hampton Inn manager says they expect and all of their customers call the hotel to verify that the shuttle schedule. He was unapologetic and while we were talking @9:10 AM he allowed the last shuttle to leave without us. This is bad service and I expect compensation for the $17 Uber ride we had to take. One key cash is acceptable.

Though close proximity to the airport is a plus for this hotel, we unfortunately arrived at a time their systems supposedly went down and had no choice to wait for give or take an hour as the front desk staff figured out how to get us into our room. Mind you, we had just arrived from Nevada and it was quite late so my companions and I were exhausted - we were not about to go out again. The front desk staff was polite enough; however, it was clear that they lacked training as he did not know what to do. He also stated that he did not know what rooms are available. I have some familiarity with hotel operations and, in my opinion, the staff lacked training as other hotels would have a back-up plan in case their computerized systems went down i.e. print-outs of available rooms, prepared room keys, list of incoming/outgoing guests, etc. Also, their elevator was not working so we had to carry 4 heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs to get to our room. We stayed here assuming it would be convenient, affordable, and comfortable since we just needed a place to sleep until our flight the next morning but to be candid, I would rather stay at a bigger hotel even if it was slightly more expensive/farther from the airport. Lastly, rooms felt a bit outdated and the breakfast served was not appealing/stale. It was quite a disappointing experience as the other Hampton we stayed at in Kapolei was perfect.

Another night at a go to by SFO
It was a very nice experience. It’s our go to hotel when landing and having to stay in SFO area for one night. But, we always hope they will refresh the hotel. Update the rooms and conditions. Otherwise, the staff is always been incredible.

Not a Good Stay at this Hampton Inn
We were disappointed in our stay for a variety of reasons. The Hotels.com site promised airport shuttle...and the shuttle only started at 4:00 pm which was later than we arrived, so we had to take a taxi for $25+. The hotel was "tired", typically the beds at Hampton Inns are very comfortable, but not here. The air conditioner only worked sporadically, and was a very noisy hotel (outside noises). Overall, very disappointed based on Hotels.com ratings and reviews.

First there was no desk staff either at check in or departure. The Hotel is old and tIred. I stayed at 2 other hotels in the bay area and it was the poorest of the 3. There is a gleaming, new Hampton Inn on the North Side of SFO. Problem is there is no shuttle service to SFO from the newer Hampton Inn. The SFO shuttle from the hotel under review was adequate.

Overall, OK. First day we found toilet seat broken. When notified, they had fixed. Mini refrigerator froze everything. Seems the general item maintenance can be overlooked. Had to request room be “cleaned” (replace towels and empty trash). Stayed here 2 times before and did not encounter these type of issues.
