Overall excellent - but deficient fitness room
Overall excellent - the one big minus...the fitness facility. Like many hotels: clearly an afterthought. Tucked away in a dark corner in the basement. The elliptical was rickety and clearly needed service. It was unfortunate as I will not stay there again because of this one deficiency.

Had a wonderful stay at Fosshotel! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bathtub and heated bathroom floors were quite a treat. This hotel is right in front of bus stop 12 Höfðatorg which all of my day tours were able to pick up from. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here if I came back.

Breakfast was very good. The room was very nice and clean, it had both a shower and bathtub. The only thing is the hotel doesnt offer parking. You can park on the street or use a garage, but the garage is expensive.

Fosshotel Reykjavik was a really nice property. Our room was clean, a bit small, but clean and very quiet. My only suggestion would be a shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on. I had to put them on the floor and it was not convenient. The mattress was a bit too firm causing me pain but for the most part, the hotel was great. The included breakfast was amazing! Everything you could want! I would definitely stay again if I’m lucky enough to return to Iceland! Oh and the bus stop for the tours was right outside the door of the hotel! Super convenient!

We spent 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay there. The staff went above and beyond and were very helpful with advice about the Reykjavik area. It was our first vacation without a rental car. The hotel was conveniently located to downtown Reykjavik and we were able to walk to many areas there.

Great location in Reykjavik. Short walking distance to the water front and Laugavegur Street where shops and restaurants are located. Also bus stop 12 is right outside the hotel so it’s very convenient for pick up and drop off for tours etc
