Absolutely love what seclusion can bring when looking for the Northern light. This place is quiet and the staff is very nice. They even came knocking on our door to notify us when the appearance of the northern light. Taught how to use our phones to capture it. Thank You
Such a cool spot! Just don't expect the typical hotel amenities such as a restaurant, staff, and so on. However, if you are looking for a place to stay that's a bit unusual and out of the way, look no further. Great for a couple or even small family if you choose the rooms with the lofts. I loved that the skylights and all the glass. Would definitely stay here again!
this property was our favorite of our entire trip! the room was spacious and clean, the location was excellent, and the nature around the hotel was beautiful
We stayed at 7 properties while on vacation this was our last stop and our favorite. The location is beautiful views in every direction. Rooftop hot tubs and a sauna where you can watch the sunset and the Northern lights. The dinner buffet was delicious and the staff was wonderful and welcoming
We stayed here our last night in Iceland in mid October. The location is fantastic - 15 minutes from downtown Reykjavik and located out on a peninsula with nothing around it but water…peaceful, quiet and perfect for viewing the northern lights which were some of the best of our trip! There is a rooftop hot tub and sauna which we loved. This place has character and is a great spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. I would definitely recommend!
Wow! This property has the best water pressure that I’ve ever had in a hotel or cabin. The water was very hot which I love. The only downside was there wasn’t a microwave, but I knew that going in and I would stay there again even with the microwave. If we ever came back to Iceland in the summertime, I would like to stay a few nights here.
I had the most comfortable stay at Fisherman’s Village. The surrounding area has breathtaking views with Icelandic horses that added to the beauty! It’s quiet and private and my room was adorable! It wasn’t far from Reykjavik.
Check-in/check-out instructions were easy and communication was excellent.
The only negative (and I’m not deducting points for this) is my refrigerator wasn’t cooling. Minor issue.
Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this gem of a hotel. It’s so private and cute. It is far from pretty much everything but if you have a car that shouldn’t be an issue.
The cabins are isolated and you need a car to get anywhere. The property has a restaurant on site but it only opens Fridays to Sundays. We booked the superior room for 3 people. The cabin was clean and had a mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, linens, cups. This property has no desk on site. They are on call from The Viking Hotel. The views are amazing! The location is perfect to watch the Northern Lights because it’s far from city lights. It’s very quiet and peaceful. There are horses and other animals roaming around. Full Iceland experience! Would definitely return!
