I enjoyed the experience of Punta Cana Lopesan resorts, the all inclusive was great! They didn’t have enough signs posted within the resort to direct you. Other then that it was a magnificent trip.

The property was nice. The issue was the staff. I have traveled all around the world with my family. Never have we experienced such bad customer service. The staff was rude! Will always talk down to you. Always did their job half fast. Every time we would ask for help or any type of information , we were met with rudeness and miss information. Before we actually arrived, we have tried to get into contact with the resort for several months. Once we arrived we saw why no one returned our call. Managed needs to hire employees that care about their jobs and the service they provide. During one of our not so great dinners, the servers/waiters when we asked for water and napkins she replied “ wait I’m on my phone!” Then proceeded to flirt and hug all over a manager that was observing the rude customer service and did not attempt to correct the issue. Over all from the welcoming committee to the food servers, waiters and pool personnel all displayed terrible customer service. We highly don’t recommend this resort!

The service and the food is the main reason for my two star review. Neither of these lived up to five star quality. The buffet food is terrible. You better make reservations at specialty restaurants every night just to get decent food (not great). The staff was a real turnoff. Some of them have attitudes and some of them just straight up look like they can’t stand their job and certainly not eager to assist.

After my stay at this resort, I would NEVER go back to the Dominican Republic, the resort was a horrific experience. The rooms flooded and no one cleaned up the water. There was visible mold in the vents. My whole family was sick by the second day. My husband and brother got food poisoning and were on the toilet the last three days of the four day vacation, from the food. The food was awful. The ribeye at the steak house was not ribeye at all and was tough, everything is overcooked. The same foods are served at the buffet for all three meals. We ended up eating most of our meals off the resort, which is another nightmare. We paid $80 in taxes and fees on top of a $290 bill for lunch for four people. The lobby is not air conditioned. SMELLS LIKE MILDEW BAD!!! The sheets are damp and smell of mildew, there are puddles of water everywhere and it’s very slippery. You have to make reservations to eat and there are no reservations available upon check in. Staff is rude and pretends not to understand. Watch your bags, one of mine was removed from groups luggage and didn’t make it to the airport. I was hung up on by the resort. They said, “ Ma’am you must have told him not help with luggage! “ We missed our flight ( first class ) nonstop. Ended up with a connecting flight getting us home the next day… The resort is really spread out, it takes a long time to walk anywhere. Unique” members are the only ones who could experience a decent vacation. I do not recommend this hotel.

Read this before booking this hotel. I booked this property for my wedding anniversary but I got the worse experience I have ever had. Bad: (it gets worse) - No access to restaurants: they claimed to have 5 restaurants but all of them were full my whole stay; I had yo to eat from the buffet all the time. So, plan to stay at least a week if you want to try one of their “5 restaurants”. - In spite of my anniversary, we got a terrible moment with our room. It rained and the floor got full of water, BOTH nights. We couldn’t walk. We were in the first floor. Imaging waking up with your hotel room full of water. What’s even worse, the only thing they said: sure, we will inform maintenance to clean it. Services: They have several services but guess what? Even to play villar you must pay extra, there’s literally nothing included with the “all inclusive”. - I announced my anniversary expecting at a band in the door or a welcome drink. Guess what I got? Nothing. I reported to the help desk upon my arrival, they said, sure we will help you but they never did. -Not raining proof: Hallways were full of water, you could barely walk. Good: - At the buffet was good - Most of the staff members were nice, others no so much. I would never recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro with my family as we celebrated our wedding on Saturday, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. While there were a few bright spots, such as the hardworking individuals who handled our bags and the tall gentleman at the Peak restaurant who provided exceptional service, the overall experience fell far below expectations. This was meant to be our wedding and honeymoon weekend, but we were so dissatisfied that we ended up leaving for another resort. From the outset, guest services were unhelpful, and the state of the rooms was unacceptable. One of my shirts was ruined because there was liquid residue on the iron provided in the room. Additionally, the reservation system for restaurants was incredibly frustrating. It seemed impossible to secure a spot without tipping the head of the restaurant, which is simply outrageous and unprofessional. Sadly, this was the worst resort experience we’ve ever had. Given the significance of this trip for our family, the lack of care and service was truly disheartening. I cannot recommend this resort to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable vacation experience.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel, which was advertised as 5-star but fell far short of expectations. The room was dirty upon arrival, and the air conditioning barely worked—it took 7-8 hours to cool the room. Ants and other insects were crawling on the countertops, making it feel unsanitary. The bathroom and faucets were clogged, and despite multiple attempts to contact the staff, no one responded or resolved the issues. Additionally, the layout of the property was highly inconvenient, with restaurants and amenities located far from the rooms. Although it was advertised as all-inclusive, making restaurant reservations was nearly impossible. Even when restaurants appeared empty, they were unavailable for bookings, leaving us frustrated with limited dining options. Overall, this hotel did not meet basic expectations, let alone 5-star standards. I would not recommend it to others and will not be returning.
