Overall was a wonderful property, even though the first night there was no hot water or AC in the room we called and they had already been working on it, the pillow where hard but we asked the housekeeper and she got us new ones, the service was excellent and the staff is so friendly, the food was really good and lots of options to eat, i will stay there again!

We've been to Mexico a number of times and this was our first time traveling to the DR. After previously visiting the Hotel Grand Riviera Princess, we opted to try their Punta Cana location. We found ourselves comparing the two the whole time - good, bad, or otherwise. On the positive side, the beaches were AMAZING, the property was smaller and more walkable, and it far less crowded (shorter lines at bars, restaurants, buffets). The plethora of exotic birds at this location was stunning. One of the reasons we decided to go with Princess for a second time was the food. The food at the buffets was excellent, but we were underwhelmed by the a la carte restaurants. We LOVED having a buffet option on the beach. How amazing! The bars were hit or miss. Some drinks were great, while others were best left untouched. The service was... different. My wife and I are both conversational in Spanish. We've always enjoyed chatting with the staff during prior holidays. The staff here, though, felt closed off. Most didn't seem to be interested in talking (or smiling), preferring instead, to give us a curt "Hola" or one word response. That being said, we found a handful of GREAT people who we went back to time after time. Abel and Manuel at the buffet, Dana at the Kids Club, and Kery on the beach. In short: if you're a budget-minded beach person looking to get away from the crowds at the Mexican resorts, this is a great place to try. We'd happily go back again, but not anytime soon.

We had a great vacation. Staff is amazing. Only complaint is that this resort is not handicapped/elder friendly. Trams used for transportation are not accessible, they should have at least a step to help people get on! It is a very big step. There are no grab bars in the shower. Thus is not safe for the elderly.

I’ve been going to this resort for 16 years. It’s a great resort! It’s not upscale (no butlers, limited alcohol brands, food is good, not exceptional, not a lot of entertainment) but I still really like it! Rooms are nice, clean and huge, the employees are friendly, the grounds are gorgeous, the beach is exceptional, the bartenders are fantastic, nice assortment of restaurants and I always have fun there.
