There is no entertainment at night and the ocean is not swimable due to strong undertow and VERY large rocks. All service staff was great. The Malecon is near by and an easy walk. Their dining options are okay and was not able to try Gaviotas. Gaviotas is a a four star restaurant with a strict dress requirement which I did not know. I only packed dress/golf shorts considering it is a beach destination. I want to include that the all inclusive is not all inclusive. When you go to Punta Sal for example, there are extra charges on many food items and are limited to some options on the all inclusive. Overall, nice city and excellent culture. However, if you’re looking to take a dip in the ocean or have some entertainment at night at your resort, you may or may not want to consider a different destination. One last note and very important: the time share pitch people are furious and want your attention no matter what! I told them no multiple times and finally gave in thinking it would stop. It only take 90 minutes is there pitch with a few extras they give you. Long story short, it’s not 90 minutes and I walked out after 30 minutes of several different people asking the same question and lying to me.

HORRIBLE i paid for all inclusive I couldn't even get coffee to my room or water bottles for the coffee maker without an argument!! I took a cab to walmart to buy instant coffee.. I was told to walk down to the bar and get water bottles!! the food was NASTY my husband and I went out to eat lunch and dinner. I want a refund for the all inclusive portion i paid for. AND BREAKFAST BACON WAS HIDDEN WE HAD TO ASK AND THEY GAVE US 2 PIECES FOR BOTH OF US... WORST STAY EVER!!! AND WE TRAVEL ALL OVER MEXICO THIS WAS DEF BE THE LAST TIME I STAY AT THIS PLACE...

Every room has a view. Pools are awesome. Short walk to the malecon. Room needed a couple small fixes and they handled within a couple hours. We have stayed here for the last 15 years in December…we love it!

Very friendly staff and clean rooms and common areas. The pool could have used more cleaning, it always felt a little sandy. The food at the buffet was so so but we liked that there were many, many options. The holiday activities were very fun and we enjoyed the dining options. The sand on the beach was very rocky and not great. We’ve stayed at other hotels in the area that have quite better beach conditions.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Loud, horrible music every night. Weddings Thursday - Sunday with horrible music. Kids running up and down the hallways. Boring rooms that smell of mildew. Our blackout curtains were riddled with MOLD. We requested they be changed out and they were, but the room still smelled musty. A/C is loud and woke us up every time it came on. Food is horrible - after one botched meal, we chose to go off property to dine. Beach is awful. Sand is gross -- pebbles and rocks. We had red flag 4 out of 6 days, so we went south to find better beaches. Lots of families here, screaming babies. Entire hotels needs a makeover!!

Terrible experience. I booked it for the reason it was all inclusive. However upon arrival at the desk I Was told I had to pay $125.00 per person a day. I purchased an activity through the Hotel then was forced to a presentation after I told them I was was not interested. After being held in the presentation for over 3 hours I decided to walk and went to retrieve my activity tickets which I paid for and they would not release them because they said I left and they needed to close me out at the presentation. The timeshare (EXTORTIONIST) sales person was trying to sell me a 65k membership without seeing the property or trying their amenities. As I mentioned I walked out and every single hotel workers were rude gave me bad faces and were harsh because they weren’t able to steal a dime from me. Definitely not worth it food is terrible. The hotel only has 2 restaurants for the price and the amenities not worth it. If I was able to give them ZERO (0) starts review I would because I was there on vacation not a sale or business proposal. Lost practically an entire day in their BS timeshare scam. Look elsewhere because I will next time.

This has been a learning experience for this trip. I have booked through expedia quite a few times. This time I was NOT happy a customer. I booked 2 rooms family of 5. When we were checkinf in. Front desk receptionist said that i have to pay meal plan for my 10 year old. I asked receptionist why and his amswer was that she was not charged with meal plan only for the room. I told receptionist that when I booked through expedia i bougbt the all inclusive package. Receptionist told me that expedia dont charge kids 12 and under, so we have to charge you upfront for it. I was shocked when he said that. I asked receptionist that that my 10 year old should be included with the package. Receptionist said that is not true. I told receptionist that i have booked quite a few times all inclusive package with expedia and i never had to pay upfront for meal plan. Receptionist said its been like thst for last 3 years. I told receptionist theres nothting on expedia's website that i have to pay upfront at the resort for meal plan. Receptionist said you can talk to expedia about that. So i have to $472 upfront so my 10 year old can eat. Also i chatted in with custoemr service rep for expedia. Customer service rep said.he never heard anything like that. The rep callee the hotel and asked about the charge and he was put on hold. I was with customer service rep for almost an hour try to get some answers. After several emails and forth. Expedia said they cant help me. So much for their support.
