I booked three rooms at this location to be close to an event I and my family were attending. I also picked this hotel because the web site said there was breakfast served and a pool. Only after we arrived we were informed the pool was closed, and there would be no breakfast, and not even an ice machine. We could not adjust the air-conditioning in one room. Bed frame was broken in another room. Just overall, very disappointing.

The room was dirty. The bathroom ceiling leaked when it rained-just not leaked it was a waterfall. There was a cockroach on the bathroom vanity. Huge , what I’m assuming, blood stain on the mattress. I told the hotel staff at the front desk and all I was told was “sorry, I’ll tell the manager”. I can’t find a number to even call the hotel directly. Plus it was advertised as a Hampton Inn when booking.

The room was almost what we expected it to be. We knew for the price that it was going to have some flaws. Our main complaints were that our door was hard to open and close. We had no control over the air conditioning. The mini fridge was dirty and had stains on it. And there was stains on one of the bathroom towels.

The front desks staff were amazing. Very friendly and efficient. I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past several times. It has been steadily declining and desperately needs to be updated. The wing were were in was musty, the AC had mold and there was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom with mold growing in the shower.

The hotel's staff was friendly and kind. They offered complimentary arround the clock coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Apparently, we needed to request housekeeping. There was one tiny garbage can in the room, so we had no place for our trash. It looks like they are remodeling, so I suspect it will be nice when completeed. The bagged breakfast was a jok, but better than nothing.

The hotel is affordable and within 15 mins of downtown Pittsburgh. When we arrived, it was 82° in our room. The employee at the front desk was very kind and tried to fix it, but the whole trip the ac never went below 74. There were crumbs and used cough drops on the floor. The shower had white stuff on the walls. We asked them to clean our room after the first night and when we returned, I was handed a stack of towels and was told “we dont do that after covid”. If you are looking for a safe & cheap place to stay near Pitttaburgh this is fine, but don’t expect cleanliness.

My stay at the McKnight hotel was good. The hotel was in a great location. The air conditioner / heater and refrigerator worked well, the staff was friendly. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect stay was the lighting in the rest room, and the stopper in the sink was stuck in a position that caused the sink to fill quickly and drain slow.

Hotel is aging. Room had noisy A/C and a musty smell like something had soured. Carpet had a large bleached stain. Bed was comfortable. Quiet area. This is rated a 3 star and not sure why.

There was a nasty stain on the couch and all over the lamp shade. There was mold in and around the bathtub and the ceiling in the bathroom. There was an electrical issue with the bathroom light switch, it wouldn't always turn on and flickered and buzzed when it did turn on. The remote control for the TV was disgusting and filthy!
