This Property Needs to Be Shut Down
This was easily the worst VRBO/hotel/rental stay I've ever had. I would advise VRBO to strongly consider no longer working with this property, it has clearly been neglected for some time and is unsafe. My concerns and the facility issues were four-fold: 1) The first room they gave us had large puddles of water on the floor from the AC unit leaking. We were then moved to another unit. 2) Throughout the stay, a most prominently the first day and through the night, there was an UNBEARABLE, unbreathable thick smoke from cigarettes/and or weed. The smell was so bad and strong that I truly could not sleep. I had to put a shirt over my mouth and nose to try to get some rest, but as you can imagine, not what you envision when renting a place to sleep. When unpacking my suitcase from the trip, my belongings still reek of smoke. I will need to get things dry cleaned, even though they were not even worn. 3) There was an infestation of cockroaches in the kitchen, rendering that area unusable and calling the rest of the rooms into question as well. Just absolutely disgusting and unsettling to see that, and frustrating given the primary reason we chose VRBO over a hotel was for access to a kitchen. 4) The walls were incredibly thin and the neighbors to one side were blaring music all night the second night, making it not only gross to breath but also hard to sleep because of sound. I'm honestly shocked at how inhospitable the facility was. Makes me not want to use VRBO in the future.

condo in Phil.
First the good: The location although in an area undergoing urban renewal was excellent. Walkable or short Uber ride to many attractions and downtown, historic district and art museum. The apartment was spacious and clean with two bathrooms . We loved the restaurant in the building. several others nearby and a large grocery store 6 blocks away. This could have been a great place with just a few more amenities. The kitchen is not supplied for cooking a meal for four . Two small saucepans. When I asked for a skillet They brought me a 8” skillet. We were supplied with one bath towel each for 5 nights and one hand towel each per couple. No bathmats. We were told we could use washer but only one pod of detergent was supplied. The apartment had wonderful high ceilings and windows but the after dark light was terrible. the one bedside lamp in the bedroom I stayed in did not even shine on the bed. A sconce was inadequate. We literally packed with our headlams on. The tv service is not free and requires phone to use as remote. Li With a very minor expendature this could have been a wondeful place. Maybe even $100 or $200 for lamps and kitchen things. Also little things like the deadbolt did not line up with the deadbolt hole😜 This is a hard revue to write because the space did fit our needs and has so much potential.
