Hotel located near public transport to Albrook and international airport. Has cheap restaurant near by. Close to water front, kids playground and walking distance to old town.

Nice hotel for the area.

The hotel has a good location and a lot of things to do. Hotel room is pretty basic. I checked outa number of hotels near by and rooms of the other hotels were the same. Basic. You get to experience the real Panama City and its people in this area. Some may say that the people are a bit rude, but, that was not our experience. We found a couple of people that went out of their way to help us. Spent 4 nights there and would return.

P.O.W has better treatment

the rooms are not clean, broken doors and telephones, remotely they shut down the air aconditioner at night, the cheapest posible soap, very bad experience ahhh the internet works ok

Not what was advertised

I booked this hotel for our family because we had one night in transit in Panama and Expedia listed that it had free airport shuttle, free breakfast, internet and a pool. There was no shuttle so we had to pay for a taxi both to and from the airport, there was no breakfast so we had to buy that too, the internet worked when we arrived but then stopped working, and the pool was there, but crowded when we arrived and then closed for cleaning. The room was 2 star at best, but the money I spent on taxis could have got us in a much nicer place for less money. So the hotel was OK for the money (actually less than I expected) but the list of what the booking included was very misleading and therefore the experience was very disappointing.

no water

We were told that there was no water running in the entire neighborhood and there was no ETA when it would be fixed. We found another hotel and did not stay at 2 Mares.
