The good and the not so good.
The reception was cordial, not overly friendly, but acceptable. The room we got was as I request. The hotel looks relatively new. Rooms are nice and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Both were reasonably priced and tasted good. My only major gripe is the hotel charging $28 plus tax for parking. The Holiday Inn very close to it, located right across from the Fallsview Casino, offers complimentary parking for its guests. What makes this hotel’s parking so special that you, as a paying guest, have to pay almost $30 for above ground parking?? And when I mentioned this to the staff at reception, their advice to me was, if I don’t like paying for parking there, then I can go park somewhere else. It’s things like this that leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth.
