Overall a good option for the price. Great location. The address is deceiving because the entrance is not on First Ave., it's on 9th Street. It is a walk up and we stayed on the third floor which wasn't too bad even with my bad knees but I would have had a difficult time if we were on a higher floor. Our room was a corner unit and was cold, it was about 15° outside that night, and the heater was wonky. Communication with management was great. I had to call to get a cot removed from the room and they picked up right away and someone came within a couple of minutes to take it away. Only one real negative, the towels! The towels were clean but they were incredibly rough. We didn't use the kitchen facilities at all but it's a nice to have if you want to save on eating out. Also, you'd have to be creative about a sit down meal as there is no dining table but there are two chairs and a desk - or just eat in bed.

The overall experience at the hotel was good. The check-in process was easy and smooth, and the facilities were nice. However, I was disappointed by the rigid policy on early check-in. We were not allowed to enter the hotel before 3 PM, even though I was willing to pay the additional charges. Furthermore, there was also a fee for storing our bags, which felt unnecessary. It would be great if the hotel could be more flexible with early arrivals. Other than that, everything was fine.

Location was great but everything else was subpar. The heater did not work, there was little hot water and the comforter did NOT come with a sheet cover (very gross...). Would not stay here again and do not recommend

It’s a small studio apartment. The positives were that it was clean, quiet, and enough room for 2 people for a weekend. The negatives were the communication from the staff who are not present on site. It took an extra 20 mins to email a door code and there was not correspondence prior to arriving. Other than that it was fine if you are looking to stay in the East Village. Just be aware that the East village is not near any major attractions or transit stations.

Easy check in, with all instructions clearly provided via email. I'm an NYC native who no longer lives in the city. This was an ideal spot to crash when I needed to stay in the area for a night. Yes, it's loud. That's the East Village, it's expected. Room was clean and very cute. Check in and out was easy.

In the morning I turned on the hot shower to wash myself, and since the room and bathroom are very small and there is no air in the bathroom at all because it is only two square meters, I opened the door to the bathroom. The device that detects STEAM was very close to the bathroom and since the steam rose up, the alarm went off. After the alarm, no one came to check what happened, I received a letter that I allegedly smoked although I kept cigarettes in my life. No one found out anything or checked, they did not give me a clear answer by mail. The manager did not contact me. I do not complain that no one cleaned my room, I did not ask to clean, I did everything myself. But to accuse me of smoking is unfair.
