We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Deutsche Eiche. The room was spacious by European standards. The bed was comfortable and the room was very dark for sleeping. This hotel had many ‘nice touches’ that increased the value for the money. There was a welcome drink on the rooftop bar (wonderful location), a stocked mini fridge with water, soda, and beer that were provided free of charge with daily refilling. The hotel’s restaurant was quite good. What really stood out though was the way the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate our traveling companions who thought they had a reservation (but didn’t). They found a room for them for one night and then found accommodation for them in a hotel just up the street - this was just before Oktoberfest so a life saver! The hotel is convenient to the Market and Town Hall and River. I highly recommend. A good value for the money.

The hotel has an excellent location close to historic district, easy access to transportation and a very good restaurant. The room was very clean and the complementary minibar was a success. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The only down side was the room had a very strong smell of wood polish or cleaning solution during our three night stay.

From the gentleman (tattooed arms) who greeted me, the complimentary prosecco, the complimentary mini bar, AC, nice shower, great big flatscreen TV w/ YouTube, super comfy bed, location and the windows that open fully for lots of fresh air when the AC is off. Great hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Single room and although had a single bed the room and shower room was spacious. Room itself was spotlessly clean and stylish.
