What used to be the "Ambassador Hotel" is now breathing with new life! This historic property was fully renovated from head to toe (but with much of the original character still intact). The brick exterior and interior walls add a lot of charm to this perfectly located downtown property with parking!
Your apartment is 1 of 10 equipped with its own washer and dryer, a super-comfy queen-sized bed, smart TV, SUPERFAST WIFI, and the convenience of a delicious restaurant right downstairs.

From the historic exposed brick walls to your front door everything has been renovated! Equipped with your own kitchen (and all the cooking essentials incl. salt, pepper, and olive oil) a washer and dryer if you will be staying with us a bit longer, smart TV linked to WIFI. Cozy seating areas, a kitchen table to enjoy a home-cooked meal, a delicious meal from the restaurant downstairs, or use it as a space to get some work. You will feel right at home :)

The Ambassador by Midtown Stays has its own parking lot next to the hotel and every guest gets one dedicated parking space. You can walk to everything downtown Memphis has to offer, including the famous Beal St, The Orpheum Theater, FedEx Forum, Dozens of Restaurants & Bars, and The National Civil Rights Museum.

Your apartment has digital door locks so you can check in on your own! So meeting you there in person won't be necessary but we will be available 24/7 if you need anything at all just send us a quick message!

Your apartment is located right next to everything! Out front of the historic Ambassador hotel you'll see the trolley passing by on a regular basis on S. Main street where many fantastic dining and entertainment options are located (including "South on Beale" the restaurant on the first floor of your building! No car necessary here (although you will have a dedicated parking place). You can walk across the street and catch some live music or walk a couple minutes more and find yourself on the famous Beale St!

Hop on the trolley out the front door of your building, rent a bike or scooter from across the street, grab an uber, or... if you are feeling adventurous, take a seat on one of the horse carriages that pass by regularly! Plenty of transportation options at your fingertips and a short uber ride to the airport (~15 min)

***Other things to note:
We are right above SOB Restaurant and there will be noise that's noticeable during their normal hours of operation of 11am-9pm (10pm on weekends). We feel the convenience and fun nightlife energy just adds to the experience, but if you need more peace and quite...just make sure you reserve a room on the 3rd floor (units 301-305). Refunds will not be given due to noise level in apartment, rent at your own risk...but trust us, you will love it!

➤ Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival

➤ If you are a local resident, you must contact us before booking

➤ Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.

➤ No parties or events allowed

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid ID that matches their credit card information

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible

➤ NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed

➤ There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

➤ Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them

➤ We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card 2 days before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur and it will be released after your check out. If we fail to capture your security deposit, your reservation will automatically be cancelled

➤ We would like to inform you that for direct bookings, a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform's cancellation policy

➤ Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in)

➤ As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property

➤ The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit

➤ No pets allowed

➤ Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos

➤ For your security and protection the property is equipped with an exterior camera

➤ Remember to take all your belongings when checking out. Left something? There's a $75 Mailing Fee (not including postage). We aim to return items within 7-10 business days, but please bear with us during busy times. Thanks for understanding!

➤ For security reasons, NO food or package deliveries inside our gated complexes or internal buildings. Please meet them outside the buildings or gates.

➤ If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest you will be liable for the costs

➤ If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding

Fantastic Stay
The location of this property was perfect. You are within walking distance of Beale Street, lots of restaurants and clubs. This property has lots of amenities. The only downfall was the mattress was extremely hard.

Nice apartment with broken door lock
The apartment is just as it is advertised. If you want a private room, this is it - the view outside is a brick wall so nobody can look in. Other minor things - no paper towels and only one kitchen towel - could have been better. We got into the apartment and got settled in. When we went to go out to dinner, we discovered the apartment door would not lock. After texting about the problem and getting a call, I described the issue in detail. They thought I wasn't locking it correctly. I even took videos of locking the door and they finally believed it was broken. They offered to let us stay in another apartment for one night, which meant packing everything up and hauling it up another flight of stairs and then hauling everything back down the next day. They thought they were doing us a big favor but we had to do all the work. They refused to compensate the room. We decided to not move so we couldn't leave the apartment, even though they tried to convince us that our things would be safe. A repairman came at noon and entered the apartment without knocking. He replaced the keypad lock with a key lock, which was fine. At the end of our stay, I asked if I should leave the apartment unlocked and put the key on the kitchen table since they said the apartment was so safe. I was to leave the key in the keylock but had to call to get the key code.

Excellent location!
Tim was a great host, excellent communication! Location was fantastic and the apartment is efficient. We would book again, and we were in a second floor "loud" unit. The restaurant doesn't open too early and doesn't stay open late. The noise was not an issue for us at all, and it's also very convenient for a drink or some food. We recommend their bread pudding desert!

Great location, sound a problem
This apartment is in a great location, you can walk to everything downtown. The apartment itself is lovely and comfortable. There is a resturant below that serves lunch and dinner until 9pm. There is no sound proofing between the resturant and the apartment. Every word said in the resturant carries into the apartment and during dinner it is noisy. One morning the staff arrived to prepare for the day. They turned on music and it was like the speaker was in our apartment. Every word said by the staff was clear to hear. We phoned the resturant to ask that they turn down the music and could hear the phone ringing below us. No one answered.

Our stay was phenomenal! We were within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Everything was clean upon arrival, and easy access. Parking was a little tricky at first, but figured it out pretty quickly. It's between the building and a restaurant next door. We will stay there again if back in Memphis! Nice but noisy
This place is nicely decorated and very clean. It’s also in a great location, in walking distance to great restaurants and feels safe. You also get a designated parking spot which is always nice in a city. The one draw back is the noise. From our room, you can hear conversations from the restaurant below, individuals talking and loading the dryer next door, and walking above till well past midnight. The owner did provide earplugs and a noise maker. Unfortunately, the noise was such an issue we would not stay here again.
