Great location for a first timer in Madrid! A lot going on every day. In the center of everything which makes it more fun! Staff are extremely friendly & helpful. We loved our stay.

Perfect location. Right into Sol Plaza. Small rooms but functional . huge showers. Plenty instant hot water. Great spanigh breakfast with the customary Serrano ham and crushed tomatoes 🍅 and eggs and bacon. And almamchwgo cheese. What else do you want ?

Central location. Terrace was great each day for a siesta. This hotel was perfect for us although it may have been a different story if we hadn’t booked a balcony.

Location can't be beat. Hotel itself isn't as modern but still nice, and perfectly suitable for a stay. The walls were a bit thinner though, so noise from the room next door was heard. Luckily it didn't last long. Breakfast was decent as well. Elevators are really small though, so be mindful of how much luggage you carry.

Great property to stay at very clean and the room was bigger than I thought. Pretty much a standard business hotel, didn’t get a view unless you like staring at other room windows and a wall. Be warned though the area this is in cars can’t come into so a taxi will drop you off a 5 minute walk away and you can grab a taxi in a 5 minute walk in every direction.

The things that I don’t like this hotel was they cleaned my room but feels and seems that the bed was not clean. I feel very itchy every time when I am in bed and also the breakfast was very limited choices

First Time in Madrid
The location was perfectly adjacent to the Puerta del Sol. The Metro, buses and great walks down to the art triangle from this location made Madrid work for me. The attached photo is of the street in front of the hotel. The staff at the hotel could not be beat! Their friendliness and knowledge of Madrid made my stay pure pleasure! This will be my home when in Madrid!

This is an excellent option in front of the Plaza del Sol area. Great breakfast buffet, clean, service, space and price. The only problem is that this hotel doesn't have smoke detectors. It is supposed to be a non smoking hotel, but at midnight, someone was smoking pot on the inside and all the smoke came through the rooms... Twice! Terrible!!! Apparently, the staff members are aware of this but there's not much they can do. A shame for an excellent hotel.

It's located at the heart of the downtown and metros. Hotel Moderno is located at the Plaza del Sol and other plazas. Highly recommended!
