Both check in clerks were miserable either with the job or because of the conditions; the lobby was 89 degrees and humid, no air flow or AC. The room was 85 degrees all night, no AC, one table top fan for a large room that slept my four person family. Couldn’t open the doors to the street because it’s drunk young people talking and shouting all night, ALL NIGHT. We did open the window for a bit because it was so hot in the room. We had to close it because we couldn’t sleep due to noise and it didn’t seem to help with the heat. I asked for a second fan at reception and she said they only have one fan per room. The breakfast was ok. The staff are extremely slow to stock items that run out. Specifically water, let alone cold water. The water was a single refillable 2 liter container that everyone was waiting on. As soon as they would refill it, there would be a line to empty it, two people later it was empty again. Idiots are running this hotel. For how much they charge they can buy bigger better fans, they can figure out how to stock the breakfast more effectively, and they can cool the check in lobby at a minimum for themselves. I would stay again only in the winter. The beds were comfortable, however the bathroom is a shared bathroom, two bathrooms for the entire floor of approximately 8-10 rooms. My wife hated that but I didn’t because it was the most affordable hotel in Switzerland and was still the worst experience. Even worst American hotels have A/C.
