Our stay was a nightmare from the second we walked in.
-The listing shows 3 queen beds and 'complimentary games' but neither of those were there. 2 beds and a couch that does not fold out.
-The unit (apartment building) was really nice, had great complimentary items in the bathroom - but unfortunately we couldn't get hot water. The most we got the entire trip was about 10 minutes worth each night.
-There is a neighboring door in one of the bedrooms (like the ones in a hotel, to connect two rooms) which we did not know would be there. No way to lock that door from your side and the neighbors behind that door smoked every single night, which seeped very strongly into our room.
-The keypad on our unit malfunctioned twice; once in the morning, causing us to have to leave our unit unlocked for the day, and once at night completely locking us out for over 3 hrs. The building apparently does not have a maintenance person close by, but when someone finally arrived they had no way of getting inside (no hard key is available). So we then had to wait for a locksmith to come and drill the door open. Thus leaving us with an unsafe door and no way to lock it, again. Our door was never fixed so we stayed for 2 nights with a vulnerable entryway.
-Throughout the entire stay, the host was less than helpful and we always had a hard time reaching them. Most of the time we just got no response.
-I ended up submitting a claim with VRBO about our experience.
-This place has potential. If they can just be honest on their listings and get some communication and problem solving skills, it would be great!
