No heat, unresponsive staff. Windows were very old with gaps of cold air blowing in. Heater was broken and they did not repair it the 3 days we were there so we had a 50 degree room with blowing wind and rain coming in.

We felt the bathroom was very tired looking. Staff were young and no training done. Breakfast was very poor for the rating of the hotel and my husband ripped his T-shirt on chair at breakfast as it was damaged. Think the hotel dealt with our complaints wrongly.

Amazing view and nice hotel
Amazing views, nice hotel. Bathroom in need of refurbishing and surprisingly small compared to size of the room. Good was very good but service inconsistent.

I can't wait to visit again! Everyone was so kind and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious. Dinner was wonderful - the sticky toffee pudding was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The view is outstanding and there is easy access to the beach.

Beautiful property overlooking North Berwick golf links and the sea. If you are looking for a small quaint European hotel this isn’t the place. This is a large property with spacious rooms. Very nice spa. Great access to the golf links or a walk to the beach. Relatively short walk to downtown.

Breakfast and dinner were fantastic! I'm vegetarian and the options for dinner were delicious, creative and satisfying. The decor throughout the hotel overall is very traditional. The furnishings appeared to be of high quality, particularly the window treatments and furniture in my room. I would certainly stay again!

Lovely hotel but spa not good and terrible shower
Great hotel but spa not good. Foyer, bar, restaurant, room, views all lovely. Comfortable room. A few issues though. We paid more for a sea view, and we're looking out side of hotel rather than the sea front. We chose this hotel for the spa, and paid the premium prices over other local hotels for this. When we went down it was absolutely mobbed, kids swimming lessons, lots of annoyed looking guests queuing to get into the wee sauna rooms! And the outdoor splash pool was closed (locals since said it's often closed). They need a booking system as we basically stood around getting cold waiting for a space in sauna, then gave up. Also shower in our room was v v bad, basically unusable. Such a shame as v lovely hotel otherwise and wonderful location. I emailed them these comments but a week on no reply which is disappointing.
