Hotel Argosy is kept spotlessly clean and the gardens are immaculate. Definitely worth getting a seaview room as the view is beautiful. We could also watch the cruise ships going past from our balcony. Breakfast was good with an egg station providing freshly fried eggs continuously. The orange juice or apple juice weren’t the best. Oliva, the poolside restaurant was lovely with a limited menu and drinks expensive. €9.50 for a glass of rose wine. Lovely bar in the lobby area and a great garden seating area for coffee or pre dinner drink. Rooms were modern and clean. We had an issue on arrival when we were given a double room instead of requested twin room. This was handled very well by Daniel on reception who found us a lovely alternative room. His service was outstanding. I would definitely revisit.

Positives: Pool area was lovely overlooking the sea/boats coming in. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Negatives: Difficulty finding a table at breakfast. Room towels were not changed. Only one key provided per room.

The view, location. The dinner is good. Breakfast they should have free fresh orange juice instead charge the guests. The pool side chair is very nice, but some of the guests are very rude, if you are in the pool, they will throug your stuff away and sit on your chair. Maybe it can be managed nicer.

Very nice hotel, excellent facilities... close to the sea... the old town is about 15 minutes bus ride...bus stop is outside the hotel.. good choice of breakfast... though could do with expanding the times.. breakfast starts at 7am which is not convenient if you have a 7.10 pick up for an excursion

Very nice hotel and very friendly, polite and kind staff. Negative comment i have is the kitchen staff does not care about cooking vege food seperately. They were using same spoons, pans etc. Its a shame that 4* hotel has no understanding about this. The staff keep dropping cutlery and plates etc need to be trained to come across more professional. The sunbeds next door at President 5* should be free for Argosy and should not charge 50%. The bus outside hotel is a big plus as the hotel is gud 20 minutes from old town. Also food selection needs more variety at breakfast and Dinner

Hotel on Babin Kuk

Pros: The location and view.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was a little dated but spotlessly clean. We had a fab sea view. Breakfast was good. Loved the location on Babin Kuk, there were good walks to either side of the peninsula. Bus number 6 ran to the old town every ten minutes. Quality sun beds and towels at the pool.

Lovely and scenic.

Lovely stay. Full of hills and steps but very attractive. Enjoyed the location and seeing the boats come in and out of the harbour. Enjoyed the game of thrones tour on the karaka. The music in the garden was really relaxing. The pool was great but it was too cold! Loved Andre's aqua aerobics every day. Breakfast was wonderful. I enjoyed my holiday a lot but if I had to criticise I would say I wished smoking was not allowed in the bars and I wished the whole area wasnt so expensive. Due to cost I would only recommend one weeks stay.

lovely room with a view

The lovely room with a view looked over the sea with a island between us and the horizon. The service and staff were super: attentive and friendly and helpful. The trips we booked - to Montenegro, Mostar and Korcula - were all fascinating,with pick-ups from the hotel and really informative guides (the best was with Gulliver Travel, but Adriatico were good too). The local bus into Dubrovnik (City centre) ran every 10 minutes right through the day and into the night. All in all a wonderful holiday.
