Beware - no AC, hot room and noisy
I had reviews about no air conditioning in this room but figured that mid-October it would be fine to open a window instead. I would have been right about that if the planes didn't take of an land right by the hotel and they start at in the middle of the night and it is one about every 90 seconds. The room was hot, noisy, and as other reviewers have said the double bed was small and you rolled to the middle. On top of that, we waited for the shuttle van at the correct location for nearly 30 minutes (we were 10min early). Eventually we gave up and took a taxi for 10 euros. I was going to bring it up with reception, but frankly the guy at the counter didn't appear the type to want to know. I had two rooms, the other room was exactly the same, we all slept terribly. Regarding the food, please read the reviews on Google etc. It is terrible and so very expensive. We ended up getting pizza delivered.

We stayed at the Hotel and had a major issue in the Restaurant when we found fruit flies in the vinegar bottle, we mentioned it to the hotel manager who said when we returned in 2 weeks he would upgrade our room as an apology, when we arrived not actioned by the manager, blamed the receptionist staff. Terrible management.

All of the countries we visited 9 in all had hard hard did I say HARD beds. And the pillows from hell. At the Carlton where we stayed 3 nights paying for the breakfast extra was a royal pain in the ??? I feel I paid 2 times extra. And it’s expensive. Either include it or pay at the entrance of the Resturant.

Check in was great, welcoming and friendly staff. The room given us was a very warn and old room, having been renewed in certain areas. There was a crack in one exterior window, the plastic bottom in the shower enclosure was scrubbed to the point of being heavily scratched (but to me that ment it should be very clean👍). On the other hand the beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and well equipped.

The hotel was easy to navigate, the personnel exceptional, and the room immaculate. It was also quite quiet, especially considering proximity to the airport. The keycard lighting switch was definitely unique, and we had a bit of trouble figuring out the system when some lights worked and others did not. A call to the front desk was immediately answered and help arrived to point out a small switch we had overlooked. A brief in room guide would have been quite helpful and saved staff a trip upstairs to help us. The shuttle to and from the airport was on time and the drivers kind and engaging. Glad we stayed here!
