Fantastic and charming old-timey hotel, very well situated, clean and comfortable. The interior pool is gorgeous and there is also a sauna, which unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy because I forgot to pack a bathing suit. So take note, and pack yours! The breakfast buffet is amazing. I recommend you learn a few key phrases in German so you can best communicate with the staff and get around the city.

Lovely small, friendly hotel.
Loved this hotel. Small and friendly with charming staff. Appreciated the drinks and snacks always provided free in the hall. Large room. Lovely pool, sauna and steam room.

a great traditional hotel
This was a great traditional hotel, big rooms, very clean, nice extras likes robes and water etc, friendly staff, big german breakfast. They also had tee and coffee and snacks available all the time. Free parking, easy to find, location was ok, 20min walk into old town. Only down side, I didn't get to enjoy the pool and sauna, which looked nice.

We use this hotel if we are anywhere near Dresden. We find it the best in the area. Pool, sauna, great hot breakfast, near to the station and the entertainment district but quiet and well soundproofed.

Outstanding breakfast in a beautiful setting!
We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel. Although on a busy street, it was quiet. We took the tram into the Old Town to tour. The area of the hotel is more commercial, very artistic. Loaded with young people. We left our bathing suits in Prague so could not try out the pool. We were the only Americans there at the time but all staff spoke English to us. My only disappointment was the somewhat flat sleeping pillows. I was going to ask for another but was so tired I went right to sleep. It is the only hotel the had several different pillows on the bed including a roll and a large triangular bedrest for reading. The breakfast was very reasonable and offered more items than other hotels. An added plus was the small lobby always had coffee and tea set up with cookies in the afternoon.

Good value if a little dated
Great position in Uber trendy Neustadt.. Easy walk to the old town if you're semi fit-ish and a great selection of pubs, beer gardens and restaurants in the area. The hotel is a bit dated but by no means shabby - I've never seen a hotel with more branded items in my life! Shoe shine kits, nail files, washing bags, slippers and robes, stationery (including post cards).....the list goes on. Breakfast was very substantial, typical German affair and very tasty.

A vibrant location in the city.
Excellent accommodation, a very pleasant fifteen minute walk from the historic centre of Dresden. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Reasonably priced parking on site. What more can you ask for?! Enjoyed my stay a lot!

Great base for families
We spent one night in Central Dresden after attending a wedding at a nearby castle. It was difficult finding a hotel that could accommodate 2 adults and 2 children in one room (4 and 7 yrs) and we booked this apartment hotel because it was within the right price range and the location looked right. We were a bit apprehensive as we drove up to the entrance as curb appeal leaves much to be desired but that lasted for all of 5 seconds. Although we arrived at 10am they had the room ready for us. The pull out couch had been set up with bath robes laid out foe the children. There were refreshments set out in the lobby which the kids devoured. The tram station was only a 5 minute walk around the corner and it took about 5 minutes to get the Zwinger. The pool came in handy as a much needed sightseeing break for the kids and you must try the sauna!! Great hotel, excellent service. We will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Dresden again.

Loved the Generocity of the Hotel Owner
This hotel has a convenient location in the Neustadt--an interesting and arty area of town and is just a block from public transportation to take you to the Altstadt. The hotel provides tea, coffee, and snacks free of charge at all hours and also free bathrobes. Breakfast is great and the pool is small, but beautiful and super fun. The hotel also has pool toys available for kids and a play area outside. Our apartment was comfortable and quiet, although a little mouse-mazey with the door opening into a hallway that connected our 2 sleeping rooms.

an unusual place to stay in Dresden
The hotel is much grander than I had anticipated. Quite different from the usual chain hotels where I stay quite happily. There was an almost endless supply of drinks and cakes in the lobby. The breakfast choice was ridiculously wide. It would have been easy to have all three meals for a day just from what was on offer. One tiny quibble: my room smelt as if a smoker had been there. I would suggest that in future you find out if it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, and if not then prospective guests need to specify a non-smoking room if that is what they want. I will be happy to go again.
