Cozy and relaxing
The cabin is super cozy and we felt right at home. This is just what we needed for some r&r that wasn’t too far from where we live. The cabin is located on a secluded street and the neighbors were super friendly. The lake was less than 5 minutes away by walking. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the docks. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Pet friendly Camp
A small 2-bedroom Camp with a nice, grassy, fenced area for our two show dogs. It was OK for the time we needed at a U-Conn event. It is rustic, but clean and bug free. The door to the deck was a bit sticky to lock, and the ‘threshold’ leading on to the deck is ready to ‘give way’, so we were careful to avoid stepping on it. Back indoors, the flooring is not level (hall to bedroom). Several of the ‘lights’ were not working (kitchen & bathroom over the sinks). The gas stove works, but the knobs do not match the ‘dial indicataor’ (left front was actually right front). There is also a distinct ‘gas’ smell when the oven is on. Most of the windows opened which helped clear the musty/moldy smell of the place. A couple of visible wires under a kitchen cupboard were ‘capped off’, so we didn’t attempt to use the switches near the sink. We recommend the owner: fix the Kitchen cupboard & bathroom lighting. Address the stove issue, and dangling wires under a cupboard. Replace the threshold at the deck before it falls off. Repair the back door jamb and get a new door. Check all areas of the deck and replace faulty boards — so folks can enjoy the lovely yard. We’ve spent years working on our 100 yr old ‘camp’, and know the time & $’s it takes to breathe new life into a fixer upper. Please accept this review in the spirit it is given.

Lovely R&R
Such a great host, good communication throughout, perfect little lake cottage with lots of privacy in a quiet, quaint community. Close to the lake and pretty central for venturing out to explore CT. The personal touches puts this host over the top...coffee, toiletries, fenced in area for pets, kayaks on the property with life vests...even towels and a beach blanket! Loved our little home away from home...you will, too!

Misleading
Let me say first, my wife and I owned a VRBO and never received one negative review. We also had a cleaning company that cleaned rentals for a rental company that came behind the cleaners to make sure the cleaning was up to their standards. The following are just a few negative examples, ice trays were empty, tea pot had a rusty bottom, kitchen was dark in the counter area (under counter light didn't work). Leaking facet in kitchen, water was rotting wood under sink giving off offensive odor. Rotting wood somewhere outside main bedroom, offensive odor being pulled in by A/C unit. Back door so out of shape, I had to push with my shoulder to get it to close. Bathroom door very tight to close or open, as was the main bedroom door. Dining table had crack, could be a safety issue. Outside courtyard full of debris. Outside table was dirty and needed to be washed to use it. All the windows were full of cobwebs and spiders. The floors were filthy, as evidenced by the dirt on my socks. Shower handle had no screw to keep it attached. I received an email from the property manager telling me that he had received "complaints from the neighbors" that we had too many vehicles and people at the property, which is 3 vehicles and 6 people. Really? We had 3 vehicles for 2 days and 6 people one day. Someone needs math classes, or the property manager is using this as a business practice to "help" guests behave. All that being sad, this property does not meet the VRBO standard we expect.

This is a comfy, rustic cabin. It was so much better than staying in a hotel, as we cooked our meals, washed laundry, had more privacy with two bedrooms and saved a lot by chosing this. There was plenty of room for my son and his friend to visit us.

My wife and I wanted to spend New Year's Eve in this cute log cabin. The property manager made sure we felt welcomed and always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Even our furry friend "Walle" our dog haha enjoyed his stay. Quiet and Quaint
I rented the property for my fiancé’s birthday. We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood. Since it was just the two of us, the size of the cabin was perfect. I wasn’t able to light the fire pit but that was definitely the selling point for me. The house is very close to the lake. They had everything we needed and even a few things that we had forgotten about. Very convenient. We had a great and relaxing time.

Remember; this is a lake home. There WILL be an amount of nature involved in your stay. (cobwebs, mosquitos, etc.) The property had everything I needed. Fully stocked with linens, paper products, toiletries and Keurig coffees. The dog run was a real plus; it allowed my pet to have a vacation too! The manager was very responsive and thorough.

We are an elderly couple in our eighties and appreciated the extra touches. Clean and comfortable. The cabin is old but done over nicely. It is small and since it rained the entire time we watched a lot of tv which offers a lot of options. Good food locally.

We live in a big city and had to go away but not too far from home due to work being done at our home so this was a perfect little getaway for my husband, my 7 year old daughter and me! The house was very clean and well-equipped with anything we needed. Coventry pizza was delicious and is right up the st! Jospeh was a great host!! There’s a little guest sign in book that was so adorable to read from previous guests so we were also excited to add to that!! Fav spot- the living room with the puzzle table and the big couch that opens up!! Thank you for the stress free, relaxing time away!

The location was lovely but the condition of the property was lacking.
The property has an exposed gas line, uneven flooring and a poorly appointed kitchen. The dog run was handy but some consistent lighting would have been appreciated. The outdoor lighting was motion activated and motion sensor didn’t reach the dog run.
