The guests are accommodated in non-renovated rooms with mould in the bathrooms, dust on furniture, and the venting is not cleaned, cracked tiles etc. The staff was friendly and accommodated me in a room, unfortunately, where the shower drain was not working. The 5 star hotels need to stop taking customers for granted and act up to their ratings.

Stay near Millennium Park
The location was pretty good, just a few minutes walk from Millennium Park and some good restaurants. The room was large and reasonably comfortable, although I personally did not like the feather pillows. There were several cracked tiles in the bathroom but it was large, clean, and had plenty of towels and supplies. The front desk and valet staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For Chicago, it was a good hotel for the price.

Great except for the “buffet” breakfast. For $150 we got scrambled eggs and bread-not toast, bread. No butter, no jam, just bread. They were out of everything else, and would not comp us when asked. We were told to wait for more food. After an hour we gave up. Shocked to see the $150 show up on our bill. So much for a luxury hotel.

The dining options are very limited. Rooms are good size - when I checked in I was told I was being upgraded due to my Platinum status with Accor - then I was given the exact same room. Upon checkout, my folio was sent to me and I was incorrectly charged for a bottle of wine from the mini fridge that I did not drink.
