All staff were excellent. Especially the service staff tended to my rooms need to a great standard. I do not have enough superlatives to describe. A great staff vibe, I was always surprised that the front desk staff could do good service wile busy and almost as quickly as if when not busy. Hardly a chance to become frustrated with anything or anyone. Oh the lifts could be faster and the printer down stairs could be a little friendlier to use. Thanks Guys.

POSITIVES: best overall value for downtown Chicago. Staff was friendly, building and room were clean. NEGATIVES: matress was a spring matress, and you could feel it. Not terrible, but surprised, since even most discount chains (which this hotel is not) have already switched over. Pillows also so soft, they offer little head/neck support. But this is my only complaint, and again, perhaps they think of it as part of the "value."

Stayed in a few Club Quarters hotels. Always a pleasure. This one is in a superb location. Room even has a fridge with a small freezer and a microwave. So saves costs in eating out (solo traveller). Only downside is, no tea bags provided. (I do think I had some available when I stayed at one of their Manhattan locations)

This was a perfect location to walk everywhere and we enjoyed the great gym and the Club Section which we almost did not get because the employee checking us in told us he was “upgrading” us to a standard room instead of the Club. I said I thought Club was better than standard and he insisted that in Chicago “club” meant “smaller” room. We proceeded to the standard room he gave us key for and the room was a small tiny square, no sheets on the bed, the room was obviously not done. So we went back downstairs and asked for the room we were supposed to get and he apologized and sent us to a much nicer room with fridge microwave etc at least double the square footage. So i guess he got caught. But if the room had been made maybe we would have stayed in the tiny room without noticing his plan. Now in the larger room it was great but we did not get any service once in four days. We used our same towels which was okay as we had extra but it was weird to have no service not even once. Location was still great and the other staff at front desk were nice and friendly greeting us.
