The Cambria was a solid location for the week. Everyone from the doormen to front desk was super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Easy to walk to a ton of spots and transit and taxis were all over too.

The hotel rooms are big and nice but it is very dirty, I found hairs in the shower, dust on the floor and the blanket had a very old blood stain. They have a rule of booking the house keeping but during the check-in they don't tell you, so how would you know? Long story short no house keeping for me, the manager also tried to convince me that she told me about the booking, but she wasn't the person that checkede in. Anyway I would suggest you to go here just if it is the cheaper around otherwise better solutions are available.

Great place to stay in the loop area
Easy hotel to get to from the blue line from the airport. It’s in the theater district and within walking distance to everywhere. Staff is friendly. The Chicago map above the bed is actually pretty handy getting your bearing with all the high rises.

Not a 4-star hotel
Room was fairly small and a little dated although they had done some updates. The bar/restaurant was a joke; it was beyond slow, dirty, and the bar tender didn’t sit on people in the order they arrived. It took a significant amount of time to get an elevator up or down, so I don’t know if all of them were actually working.

Location was great. The hotel itself was a little run down and it was like pulling teeth to get the room cleaned and replenished. Had to do it ourselves one day. Which is not what I want to do on vacation. We got back from lunch and walking. It still hadn’t been cleaned. We were told they were on the way. So we left for 2 more hours, even though we wanted to take a nap. It still didn’t get done. We were then told they were still coming waited for another hour. Than just went and got what we needed ourselves. They finally came at 5:30 after we did what we needed ourselves and amended our day around it. Which kind of sucked. It was our vacation. I don’t want to clean and go fetch coffee for the morning, towels, toilet paper etc. But, if you don’t care about that and higher end rooms… the location was great as far as public transportation goes.
