Budget property with all facilities in room aircon, toiletries, towels, table chair tv. Covered parking in front, lift. Close to the San Sebastian cemetery. Spanish breakfast was included which consisted of orange juice, coffee, bread and local Spanish spreads made from Chorizo and Ham. I think they are called Sobrasada and Zurrapa de Lomo. Staff all smiled and were helpful but they only spoke Spanish except for 1 staff so I relied on my Google Translator and sign language a lot!
We used this as a transit stop after a late flight from Malaga on our way to Cordoba. Provided everything we needed in respect. It's rated a 2 star hotel but we've stayed in much worse 3 stars. The staff were helpful and friendly and the cleanliness and facilities were perfectly fine. It was also half the price of staying in Malaga city.
The room was definitely not worth the money we paid for it.
We stayed in the apartment on the roof with access out of the hotel corridors and via the emergency exits- access to room was out of the way and had to cross a smelly fishy kitchen to get to our room.
We had no free wifi in the room even though this was advertised as part of the room so ended up having to buy extra data just so our phones could work in the apartment as we didnt have enough data for both inside and outside hotel and were relying on this free wifi advertised to us.
The temperature of the shower and sink taps kept changing- sometimes the water wasnt hot enough.
A very very very strong dirty smell comes from the bathroom side as soon as you enter the apartment- unbearable- enough to make you sick. We tried everything, air freshners, opening windows but to no avail. Hotel was not helpful in solving the problem and for the 8 nights we were there, we were faced with this nasty toilet-smell stench.
It was difficult to communicate our problems to most staff members as they didnt understand english which was quite frustrating so in the end we just had to give up.
The manager seemed flustered and tried to avoid us- as we kept flagging up issues with the room.
The price we paid for the room we got was frankly a rip off. When you pay alot for a room/apartment you expect everything to be clean and comfortable. I would not recommend this apartment room in this hotel.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
this hotel is in the middle of no where, you can't even get uber or taxi to anywhere, the hotel should have at list 2 cars that can transport people back to the city
Very smart, modern hotel. Extremely good value for money and 1/2 drive to the airport. However: Main drawback was this: I'd booked the hotel because I had a flight from Malaga early the following morning and needed to get up at 4am. I was hoping for a good night's sleep. Instead, what I got directly outside my window was a disco until 10:30pm the previous evening - and noise from the party-goers for around 1/2 hour after that. So the objective of a good night's early sleep was ruined.
Very nice and polite staff would recommend to everyone

Good food
Reception went well and when i went back down to ask if we could get a room with shower rather than a room with bath the young man was very helpful. Unfortunately it meant we had road noise as it faced over the motorway. BUT the shower was excellent. Room v cold. We put the heater on and it warmed up. Only one blanket on each bed. Down in bar i requested extra blanket each and another pillow. I slept in my socks. My husband wished he had had his electric blanket with him. (It is January in the mountains). We have eaten here before. Menu del dia at lunch time is good and just €10 for 3 courses and a drink. They do a similar menu at night and the bar was full of people eating it. We just had a couple of tapas each and a beer. Very good. We didn't have breakfast. The corridor upstairs needed a really good clean as did the inside of the lift doors. This hotel was only built about 5 years ago and i was surprised as i expected it to be in good condition. The rooms were dark. The tv on wall very small and only Spanish channels. They were very busy with lorry drivers/ work people staying over. Basic but very good food and hard working helpful staff.
The hotel is an excellent place to stay for anyone leaving Malaga in the evening (or needing to arrive early morning). It is on the main road to Antequera, Seville, Cordoba and Granada and is accessible from both carriageways. Very modern, well appointed rooms, and a good restaurant where it is possible to obtain meals and tapas (some outstanding) at pretty well any time of the day. There is also a shop selling local foods.
The only disappointing aspect of our stay was breakfast, which fell well below normal Spanish standards. Both the juice and the tostada seemed pre-packaged. In place of the normal grilled mini-baguette with oil, tomato and ham on the side to add as required, we were served up a split flat roll, absolutely saturated in (not so tasty) oil with the tomato and ham already added.
